Well, it was so much fun though, and its pretty chill. I only panicked once, at the part where I died.

I was looking for inspiration for a non meta build and this looks interesting!

I wonder why we don't use a 6L fireball setup for single target.
Fireball - Controlled Destruction - Slower Projectiles - Fire Penetration - Empower - Concentrated Effect/Pierce

Wouldn't that supplement the HoT well enough for Guardians/shaper?

I'm coming from a crit fireball build perspective, wondering how to take advantage of the best of both (amazing boss burns and these swift map clears).

I have the feeling the 6 link setup is more or less up to each one how to set up, the main skills is in the 4 links, having a free 6 link to customize is kind of a luxury with this build.
But some kind of CWDT setup is probably the best as the mana cost is to high when using Voidbringers,
I can not think fireball - Controlled Destruction - Slower Projectiles - Fire Penetration - Empower - Concentrated Effect/Pierce is viable becaus of the mana cost it will give.

CWDT is probably your best bet for using the 6l. As Dkodr mentioned, the mana cost of a 6l fireball with voidbringers would be pretty hefty, and definately much higher than my current mana pool while using HoT and 2 curse auras.

You could of course try a CWDT fireball setup - dropping empower for CWDT gem. That being said, my current setup seems to be very efficient (molten shell and Vaal RF).

I had a question regarding vaal RF. How do you handle vaal RF without commiting suicide? Currently I have 7.5k ES.



This build is fun, but I get random one shots. Is there a trick to properly using flasks? Do I need to have 2 writhing jars? Also, is the 30% mana reserved reduction helm enchant required, or is 20% acceptable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1) When you use vaal rf, make sure the mob isnt curse immune - if it is, make absolute certain that you are ignited (to benefit from 2% life leech on amulet). Vaal rf does so much damage that it should heal you to full instantly. If for some reason it is not working for you, try adding a life leech gem until you achieve higher es.

-quick question - are you using vaal pact? if not then that would explain everything.

2) If you only have 20% HoT enchant - you will need additional reduced mana reserved nodes on the tree - fortunately you have access to a 6% one and a 4% one if needed.

3) Carry 2 extra writhing jars in your inventory for guardian fights. You only ever need 1 writhing jar while mapping. Make sure when you use vinktar you always remove the shock.

4) I died a lot while testing the build, however right now, the build in its current state pretty much never dies except when I do guardian fights.

I'm using vaal pact, but still get one shot when using vaal RF with ignite up. Can you recommend a 6L that does not use vaal RF? Also, I'm rocking 11x Izaro's turmoil. Will I see a noticable damage increase (especially on bosses) if I switch to grand spectrum jewels?

yes for sure, I would say double the damage, especially with vaal rf. And the higher damage means more life gain from leech. The Izaro's turmoil are just a stepping stone as you work your way to better gear.

Just wanted to say that i've been playing this build in EHC and never had more fun. I've played auto-heralds every way possible and I think this is the strongest version so far. I didn't take vaal pact because I'm not using VRF. Also using turmoil instead of spectrums because of the price. However, still very stong. I think the Hysteria is a very good addition to the build. :)

I'm glad you are enjoying the build, and it's good to see it functioning well without grand spectrums.

Gotta say though, I am very impressed that you are playing the build on EHC!
