How can we fix Hierophant?
Now when i traing to make some funky ocultist hibrid i just get anoyed how items like The Aylardex the only one that got someting i may need will totaly trash my build. Having extra sinergy with charges in exchange for unusable build, so thos 10% MoM on Hierophant is just that strong compering how others can get to similar levels. I just dont finde 30-35% MoM to be worth sacrifice, 40-45% is a return you can worck with. Curently loot of things have changed but uniqs and skill tree suport is not that great all considering. If you need uniq items to make uniq mechanic to worck and they same time criple you that is not cool. I can have up to 10 power charges but with The Aylardex i will lose 400% crit, the sinergy is just that good... Some pick me up build will be able to gain something with no invesments but when it come to actual effort to use some mechanic and you just cant finde way to suport it, its anoying. Most builds need to be complitly unusable to achive simial defences, sucrificing damage, crit and God know what. For now Hierophant got build flexibility and people dont realise it for some reson. Even tho im anoyed sensles with my Ocultist it just showing some of Hierophant strength people finde wortless, nothing is so simple as it may seem. |

Aylardex amulet is pretty bad in general. Its only worth using it with elemental overload when u need just a little bit of crit, outside of EO specifically investing into additional power charges for each 1% mom it is questionable if it is worth it.
Going up from 40% to 45% with 5 power charges with aylardex gives additional 8.3% mitigation while 5 endurance charges would give at least 20% of physical reduction (from 0 to 20 it is 20%, from 50 to 70 it would be 40%, althou it is only against phys). All in all it is really not worth building around aylardex, only if it is convenient to use it with already built character with 4-5 p charges, which happens to be not that often.. It depends on the build.
Aylardex+Romira's= constant full endurance and power charges. It's a matter of slapping a discharge somewhere in there to fully utilize them that's key. I currently run 2 cwdt gems of differing levels to ensure full power usage. Low level cwdt + Immortal call for permanent physical damage immunity. High level CWDT for the odd discharge. It's important that I keep the high level CWDT damage threshold at a level that's not a multiple of the low level cwdt. I want Immortal call to go off, then endurance charges to be built, then Discharge to go off. It makes for a pretty unique build. Herald of Thunder + Orb of Storms are a must with this particular set up as Orb of storms can build multiple power charges on a single cast (Often on a single chain with multiple enemies) along with Herald of Thunder going off. However, I still think Hierophant is on the weak side of both defense and damage. |

I found hierophant quite tanky, and of course more totems means more damage even with penalty.
MoM is realy boosted because you got 0 mana costs for skills if you got not been hit. To make it work you must use totem or ranged skill build. For example I use ice spear + decoy totem to stay away from hits and when hits eventually come I got +1000 hitpoints (with 3k life) from my mana pool. With ES over live it gives you about +1000/1200 hp just from general gear which greatly works against oneshots. You can pick Unwavering stance and some block nodes also to be more tanky. Well, this setup still is quite bad with breaches, but it works well on other stuff(I came now to low lvl maps). |

" Not building any actual defenses but one keystone does not, absolutely not mean that MoM is boosted. Your buikd probably is. " Couldn't agree more. Basically only one notable is worth a damn. Just looked at every ascendancy and this one is by far the worst. Sure you can make builds that basically only use one notable but you would get more out of any other ascendancy, even so far as not picking one. Just my 2cp after testing it for a bit. |

Hierophant is fine how can we fix scion/saboteur i ask!?
In order to get rid of clearspeed meta cap global movement speed at 100% but make all skills instant so everything feels great.

All this post has done was make me realize how Life isn't viable and how bad MoM is!
On top of that they gutted EB a Keystone that was rly fucking good with MoM before especially since it kind of came with AA which was rly hard to hold without it! And as good as impossible to hold with an CI build! I rly miss the old versions of AA & MoM! They felt strong and you where rewarded for your investment, now everything is shit and everyone plays CI! Your idea is interesting bc it makes Life & MoM an interesting option again! But it wouldn't change the fact that nothing but CI is an option for every other ascendancy! I rather have Life as well as MoM brought in line with CI then that! I understand that you feel like Hierophant is a bad ascendancy other probably thing the same, i would be surprised if the percentage of ppl playing it has two digits, lol, but i don't think making him the "MoM ascendancy" is the way to go! |

MoM is for people who understand how to play it.
for others it is 'bad' and maybe it is better this way? so people are free to make wrong build decisions and be proud of it? |
