" Rare mobs are not 2 levels higher, they just drop items 2 levels higher. In addition, I've never seen any evidence that +5 level strongboxes spawn monsters above map level, only that they drop items above map level. Yeah something is def wrong after the patch. I had 0 problems getting my specters in any of the listed maps at all. Now I can't get them. I am forced to run white maps with the ones from act 6 and 10. I have tried every single map on the list, including wasting a shaper set and couldn't even get 1 wickerman or vanguard in any of them after wasting hours last night.
I really don't know what happened. I had no issues before, I've tried every trick in the stupid book. Shelfing this character until this is hopefully resolved. | |

As pointed out by TKZ100 I was wrong to assume rare/magic mobs have higher monster level. It is just the items they drop. Might be the same for strongboxes, so I have changed the main post.

" I didn't level with TV and WM. When I did the quests in Lunaris temple in act 8? I got frozen/pummeled by some Sentinels. So I thought, well now, that's what I need! So I ran with those until lvl 70ish. They shoot far as hell, 4 of em with GMP will cover the screen. Actually, faster proj might be a good idea since they're pretty fast in HotG. but the rest might be ele focus, fire pen, controlled destruction, the usual. And since they hit, united in dream might not be a bad swap if you can afford it. Just my 2cents. I'm pretty new at PoE, but I think I'd give it a go with that. One other thing I'd like to mention about united in dream. I don't understand why it wouldn't work for WM at least. As I understand it, WM use RF. RF actually hits. So it should work with WM, right? Hi.
I always wanted to kill Shaper but never achieve this (killed Uber Atziri 2-3 times but it was long time ago). Now Im leveling Spectres necromancer (SRS atm, soon switching to spectres) for this but its abit confusing for me so just wanted to clarify one thing. In next week after desecrate changes how to get Vanguards and Wicked in any map? I have to go first to area with them (act 6 and 10?) then make spectres, enter map and keep desecrating till I get their corpses? |
