Harbinger league is just plain bad and boring.
Harbinger Encounters:
Monsters spawn a bit slow, double speed would feel about right, imho. Or just spawn the next group once the first one is finished off. Special map: It's a nice map considering theme and XP, but it's way too easy. Items: Would it really have hurt to hand out full items? Why do I have to collect pieces? I'd rather have them drop nothing from time to time, like breachlords did. Orbs: I love the orb of horizon and harbinger orb. They help a lot in atlas progression, and I can produce an endless amount of guardian maps or reroll maps I don't like that much. The other orbs I don't really care about, and I doubt we really needed regal, chaos and exalted shards. Picking up the shards got a lot better, at least. Overall, I'm fine with Harbinger league. It's not great, but it's fine. Not every league can be a firework of awesomeness. " Indeed. Though, it's mind boggling why ggg always manage to suck all the awesomeness and leave only garbage to play with. They could have left the leaguestones in, even if reworked if they considered some modes too profiting or a threat to the economy. And people would have had a better time with the crap they vomit with the harbingers. Players wouldn't even mention this league, it would be all fine. " Legacy League is not going to come back any time soon. It was wonderful, but it was a one time thing. And it was so far above what every other league has offered, it's unfair to set it as a standard. To be fair, this league has been great for SSF.
Ancient orbs help you get uniques you may need to build around. The harbinger orbs really help with filling out your atlas, etc. They may as well call this the "Future of Xbox POE" league because it feels like they are testing a lot of mechanics out for xbox (since they know trading is balls there). I created 2 char on Harbinger...got bored and created an SSF Harbinger character and I have to say...that experience (althought slightly boring) is not as bad a regular Harbinger. Not to mention crafting feels super pointless in a life meta since most people are stuffing their characters with uniques and dealing with "good enough" rares. |
