Abnormal disconnect: An unexpected disconnection occurred.

@While this issue is typically annoying for a couple of minutes before things decide work it's particularly problematic during a release. I'm sure there are a lot of other people experiencing the whole "7k in queue, you wait, finally lets you in, unexpected error, 40k in queue".

That being said, most games now seem to have terrible launch days/weeks, but it would be nice to have one go smoothly.



Not just a launch issue for me. Happens like e v e r y time I log in. And sometimes when entering map portals or going to town

Yesterday I tried to play, gave up til today to give it time to hopefully smooth out and again today Every 5 or so min I am getting kicked to login menu with the "An unexpected disconnection occurred message."
This is the First time in 5 years of playing POE i have ever dealt with something like this. So IDK. I tried everythign I could think of short of smashing something.

Hope it gets cleared up.

it tends to happen en mass for me between 5 pm - 8 pm UTC.

the game is unplayable for me during this period as i make no progression because i keep getting booted out of the game with the unexpected disconnection error. it also happens throughout the day but usually i can get in a solid 30 - 1.5 hour runs before getting disconnected.

from my experience playing "always online" games like POE, its down to one or all of 3 things usually:

1. botting
2. duping
3. GGG network/servers issue.

Apologize for double-posting, but disconnections are really unplayable now. Can play about 10 mn maximum before crash.

This is getting worse. Every other loading screen kicks me out. There have been times when attempting to log back in that I will also suddenly lose connection and have to relaunch the game multiple times before being able to connect to a server. I've looked through everything, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

What seems to have fixed it for me, at least for now is doing the following: before logging in to a server go to options, UI, and set NetworkMode to lockstep. Before doing this i was being disconnected every few minutes, now it hasn't happened for a full day of playing.

i can get in to play but latency is over the roof.

see saw stutter step like the TWO weeks when Incursion went live.

Cant even play because if fails to connect to instance on any character. WTF

11 Incursions to build a good layout for my temple.
Enter temple for about a minute........disconnected.
Re-enter game......disconnected.
Repeat for 20-30 minutes until no disconnection.
Temple is gone.


NOTE: It looks an ISP or two across the US are having major problems at the moment. Good chance that's the cause here for today's issues (at least for me).
