PP isn’t any safer. If you paid attention Xsolla requests pre approved access to your account. If you didn’t disable it, they could in effect bill you for nothing. CC companies are waayyyyy better at guarding you against false charges than PP is.

Apperenly NO. Steam is fine. Ive been corresponding with GGG support about this because ever since they changed to this Xsolla stuff my bank flags them for being fraudulent. And GGG told me just a few mins ago in a reply that they are working on another vendor or something (they were not specific they just said they are exploring options to sort out this issue and that they are aware theres an issue) but in the meantime if i need to make purchases i can do so through Steam and skip the Xsolla route apparently.

My bank even went as far as to have the fraud division of my bank call me in the middle of the night the last 2 transactions ive tried to make to ask me about them before trying to track who might be trying to steal from me.. of course it was me and my bank informed me the reason my they flag them is because they see more fraudulent transactions than legit ones and they no real way of knowing the difference so for the sake of absolute security they just flag ALL transactions that come from Xsolla.

Now i was still able to force through my last transaction because since my bank was already on the phone and it was a legit transaction i asked could they unblock it just long enough while i was on the phone to make my purchase and then block it again which they were more than happy to do. And the transaction went through but i basically will have to call my bank and do this every single time from now on if it goes through xsolla. Or use Steam as GGG suggested i do till they sort it out. But the email i just got tonight they assured me they are aware of there being an issue with Xsolla and exploring other options so at least they are aware theres a problem and they are currently working on getting it worked out. To be clear though they said nothing about no longer using Xsolla either only they are looking into other options.

Yeah but contract or not if this xsolla is costing GGG money and has this terrible reputation that banks block all their transactions because theres so many fraudulent transactions coming through them im pretty sure GGG can get the hell out of the contract quite easily even if it means taking it to court. Could even possibly have a law suit of their own against xsolla for damages to their business. 5+ year supporter here that all of a sudden can no longer buy anything? Now think how many others run into my same issue... ALL of which cant buy anything which ultimately means GGG is missing out of purchases every single day as a result. People get the shit sued out of them for MUCH less everyday..
And imo i think GGG should seek legal advise about this because it is damaging their business any way you look at it. All that aside at the very least they need to have the old option that worked fine all these years back. If they are under some contract they cant get out of with Xsolla.

GGG stated that Xsolla will no longer be used!

Nowhere in that thread was there any mention that xsolla will be ditched, all that was said is that they would try to bring back the old payment handlers and that was posted weeks ago.

without xsolla, I would have upgraded to the next supporter pack already.
WITH Xsolla though, I will not support GGG with a single cent any more.

And Why the fxxx do I have to go through Xsolla when paying via paypal ?? paypal is a great service provider already, why do I have to give my account data to a third party provider?? That is a bad joke.

Yeah i totally get that too.. So ive did all i could and helped make them aware of how my bank put it to me and the fact they called me in the middle of the night when this happen. And like they said their aware and are working on options. Again they didn't get specific nor they said anything about doing away with xsolla only they are looking into other options. I just hope they get it sorted out not just because its a pain in the ass to buy anything now but doesn't seem like those guys have a good reputation. And if they have a shady reputation hell your right i wouldn't put it past them to try and sue GGG or fuck them over. Shady people do shady shit..

You don't read too good do you. Chris said that GGG doesn't have the ability to store CC data (PCI compliance). If they did, they wouldn't need these third party middle men to do that for them. Which is why they use them...

They add themselves to your PP pre-approved payments list so it's always possible to get hidden charges through PP the same way it could happen with CC. For peace of mind, I went to PP and removed them from the pre-approved list.

For anyone who used PP and wants to check and removed them manually:

PP Settings->Payments->Manage Pre-Approved->Xsolla->Cancel
