Literally in the first post of this thread, and bolded. Chris states:

"These requirements are far too difficult for us to meet, so we have always used third-party payment processors (formally Stripe, and now Xsolla, though we're bringing Stripe back due to feedback)."

Logically speaking, there will be no need to double pay to have the services of 2 PCI compliant vendors.

sure, but Xsolla offers so many more payment methods that it might be worth it - no way to know and that quote from Chris doesn't confirm nor deny it.

Until GGG explicitly state that they are no longer going to be using xsolla then anything you come up with is a flight of fancy.

There's no need to be antagonistic. What I am stating is merely the most likely scenario, that they revert to using Stripe solely because it does not make economic sense to double pay for PCI compliance. Moreover, different vendors might interpret standards of implementation differently, leading to conflicts in GGG's daily operations. Simply does not make sense at all.

If they do keep Xsolla on board for the purported "700+ payment methods", and they "bring Stripe back" (explicitly stated), then I hope credit/debit cards and Paypal goes through Stripe. Still, a very unlikely scenario to keep both vendors on board.

As of now, Xsolla has blocked me because I refused to give them pre-approval for Paypal transactions. Believe you me, I am just as exasperated as you are to kick Xsolla out of the picture. I stated this in the opening few posts of this thread. I am sure GGG wants to be rid of all these Xsolla complaints as well.

While we're at throwing things out, they should drop that banner nagging me to upgrade my supporter pack. I have little tolerance for adverts nagging me to buy this or that and the banner close to qualifies. I give you money when I want, not because you keep nagging me. I have this one simple rule: "Don't give money to people that ask for it." You're asking, you're not getting any.

They add themselves to your PP pre-approved payments list so it's always possible to get hidden charges through PP the same way it could happen with CC. For peace of mind, I went to PP and removed them from the pre-approved list.

For anyone who used PP and wants to check and removed them manually:

PP Settings->Payments->Manage Pre-Approved->Xsolla->Cancel

I wouldn't do that either. Xsolla still gets your card information and you still can be charged by them for ... anything.
