Patch notes 3.2 - Sorry Chris Wilson after your lie You lost me as supporter!!!

Now After your December post I know who to blame. I feel stupid not to take ProjectPT words seriously.
The upcoming league will be dead in two weeks, at least for old players/true supporters of the game who is looking for something interesting and not the same meta builds, sorry but I'm sick of 5th league with Sunder - this is too much.


Dec 6, 2017. Post from Chris Wilson on responses from 3.1.0 Patch notes regarding almost zero balance skill changes/rant on reddit:

"There are too few buffs

This was honestly a time issue. We have buffs planned that have been pushed to later 3.1.x patches or 3.2.0 due to being incomplete as of this week. The 3.1.0 expansion was developed under an aggressive schedule, fitting what would normally take 26 weeks into 17. While we try to budget sufficient time to include everything we want to into a release, we felt that this was an acceptable compromise over not having a big December release for you to enjoy during the holidays. Buffing stuff isn't just a matter of typing a bigger number into a box, but often involves re-creating content from the ground up, like with Lightning Tendrils."

"This league development cycle was our shortest ever, at 12 weeks, with several of those weeks consumed by people being away during the Christmas period.

Our balance staff worked exclusively on getting the Ascendancy classes finished and balancing the new content.

I am completely aware that you want skill changes, and would love to see some also. There's quite a backlog of mechanical skill changes that are planned, it's just a matter of getting time to do them. The points raised in this thread have been well heard!"

If I ask you how many numerical/AOE buffs do you have for old unused skills right now afte 3 months of "We have buffs planned"? -The answer is 0!
Please, don't get me wrong : This is only game I really like - this game has a flavor of top notch restaurant. Chris, Rory and Qarl are definitely *** Michelin star cooks out there, please remove these McDonald's cheap ingredients.

Why do people care so much about chris wilson anyway? I'm quite sure he gets carried by all the others, he just puts the visible face. At least that's the feeling that i got when i first saw that guy.

Probably that Chris has been saying for several leagues now that skill changes are incoming. And yet we still have the same meta just like the last 4 leagues.

I'm somewhat confused by his statement that balance isn't just about typing numbers into a box - IMO at least some skills could benefit solely from typing bigger numbers into a box and don't necessarily need a huge overhaul or the GGG staff time that would engender.

I was also totally expecting huge list of balance stuff, especially some kind of melee buffs, cyclone, fortify gem dmg, RT... whatever ppl mentioned for so long, and we got null.

I'm shocked that anyone can complain about a lack of buffs after looking at what they did to the Ascendancies. Your pet skill doesn't have to be buffed for the power level of the game to go through the roof with all that. Pretty much whatever you wanted to play, it's stronger now.

Because, like Ghostcrawler over in WoW-ville, people love to imagine that one single person is responsible for all the evils of the world. Mostly because they have literally zero idea how game development actually works, but they sure as heck have strong opinions about how it should work.

So, yeah, your perception is absolutely correct there.

When they announced the ascendancies rework, they warned that there weren't any nerfs yet.

I expect meta FoTM builds, like every other league, followed by nerfs to ascendancies that made them FoTM.

Probably because people are fucking bored. This is the 5th league where it's going to be Sunder/Tornado Shot/Molten/Blade Flurry/Frost Blades/GC Mines/etc.
