Everything is about maps drop now?
...just forgot to add may be, what need to have biscos+some more iiq gear and preferably HH to find some exalts faster to fund this show?
Sure everyone can buy bulk of 100 maps to show them just for lulz in forums. |

" Just another stupid excuse. Chiseling maps would provide better returns than bisco's, i'm sure those pocket full white mobs give me loads of maps. Again, I have never bought maps (2-3 when I was chasing elder around) Again, read the post before crying, 1st pic is what I had, 2nd is map drops from the ones I've run so far from that tab... HH has zero impact on how many map returns you get... why on earth would I spend my time recording things, separating tabs etc that takes a lot of time compared to standard map running just for 'lulz in forums' you sound like a complete moron, incapable of seeing that it's your own fault. Hmm... direct insults started?
My couple of points here are quite simple. 1. Screenshots proves nothing (anyone can buy maps and show out them in any order), and if to use someones vocabulary: they can make an impression maybe to `morons` only, and - 2. HH is used clearly for faster clearing and so for more currency gain, so can buy more maps. Anyway we are speaking about maps still. And there are so many topics what map drops are no good still. Also, I saw good suggestion about returning Horizon orbs and Harbinger orbs. I actually miss them, They were adding so much in terms of managing maps to more convenient and less rng level. Definitely this is an improvement. |

Harbinger was definitely my favorite league, because of those orbs.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

" It was a statement, not an insult. You clearly just insinuated my posts are blatant lies and i bought maps to make a forum post... Of course you are going to get such a response. People ask for data/examples etc then when you give it to them they make stupid posts like "You have a HH, so clearly you just bought maps for a screenshot" you are ridiculous. Talk about being in denial. Go watch one of the 1000 streams for 10 hours, that shows them running the maps in the same way if you want, tho I'm sure you will have another excuse lined up for 'how they did it'. - They have 24 dex rolled on their ring which breaks some hidden code making mobs with 27hp drop a map every time... well done. (This one is mine, you can't use it) Последняя редакция: Chalace2#1463. Время: 5 июл. 2018 г., 16:18:32

Pizzarugi quote
" There isn't any point in explaining it after a couple of times because people keep crying instead of actually trying but sure, let's do it again even tho people will probably invest 1chaos instead of 1alch on T14s now and still complain. How to sustain eldered T16s or lower:
My Atlas
![]() Every single map from 1-14 and every single unique map is completed. Shaped Belfry for T15, eldered Lair for T16, no other 15s or 16s. I only every get Belfry for T15 and Lair for T16. Why Belfry? - Open layout for my build with decent packsize and an alright divination card Why Lair? - Average layout with 10/10 packsize and awesome divination cards I can get a full Rigwald set in about 90maps and it sells for 13ex+. Influence cornered next to Chimera to get a permanent pingpong on Lair with low maintenance because Chimera's Shaper influence is basically fake and can never take Lava Lake. 4 Sextants(3red, 1yellow) on every single map because I can't have more. I would add all 6 Sextants if I could. Don't copy this setup one by one unless you 100% know how and why.
Maptab and rolls
![]() This is my T16 tab. Left side = prerolled maps in big batches of 40+. Middle = map drops, mostly white. Right side = Vaal Orb changed base map. Examples from prerolled maps: Rolling strategy: 1. Chisel 2. Alch 3. under 80% quant reroll 4. between 80-90% quant without ele reflect/cannot leech Vaal Orb, 85%+ with additional rare, magic monsters or beyond doesn't get vaaled. 5. 90% quant or higher doesn't get vaaled. You can go harder on rerolling affixes if you just want more maps and don't care about currency or if your build can't handle certain mods.
Zana mods TL;DR
Zana mods are pretty mediocre this league. Here are the options: Invasion = just quant, nothing else, "I am cheap". Warbands = quant, a lot of loot, can drop maps. Beyond = Quant, exp, loot. Abyss = Highest potential profit if you like crafting, only worth on T16, can drop maps. Breach = "I like breach". Anarchy and Domination are bad. Use them on every single non-corrupted map. Use them on corrupted maps if Sextant interactions are happening.
Prophecies explained
Area contains Masters: Zana = Obviously Tora = Tora missions that spawn monsters inside the map and not a seperate area drop a lot of loot. Tempests: Crushing Squall = 30% Quantity to the map, better than most Zana mods, Chisels or Fragments. This applies to all Tempests except Vaal Winds. Fire from the Sky Ice from Above Lightning Falls The Undead Storm Vaal Winds = Red circles => buff for 5 seconds for killing monsters => everything drops corrupted => a lot of 6S, 6L for Jewellers and Divines. Always seal Tempests and wait for the right map. Currency: Overflowing Riches = Certain monsters explodes into 1-10c in mixed currency on death. Adds monsters to maps: An Unseen Peril = Strongboxes only spawn magic monsters => map drops. Hidden Reinforcements = Random monster spawns 10 monsters on death => map drops. The Undead Brutes = 7 Rare monsters => map drops. The Dreamer's Dream = Boss drops guaranteed map. Monstrous Treasure = 36 Strongboxes, no monsters inside the map => check Sextant interactions. The Twins = Rare monsters are doubled => check Sextant interaction. Bountiful Traps = 6 additonal Strongboxes => check Sextant interaction. Always seal these 3 and save them for the right Sextant. Plague of Rats/Frogs = Basically a Sextant => Spawns monsters that won't attack you with an insane quantity bonus on them. Soil, Worms and Blood = Additional monsters like a Sextant. The Brothers of Necromancy = Additional monsters like a Sextant. The Cursed Choir = Additional monsters like a Sextant. The Hungering Swarm = Additional monsters like a Sextant. Seal and use on maps with Sextants and high quant. Waiting in Ambush = Strongbox spawns guaranteed Exile. The Four Feral Exiles = Map contains 4 additional Exiles. The Scout = Spawns Warbands on Exile death => map drops. Prophecy chains: Anarchy's End = A lot of Exiles. Deadly Rivalry = Buffed and ghosted Exile. The Warmongers = Warbands => maps. Prophecy blocking: You have 7 slots available. Choose 3-5 undesirable prophecies with sealing costs of 4 coins or more that won't trigger in maps and never touch them. They're now considered blocked. Use the other X number of slots to gain your desirable prophecies. This will increase the chance of getting "good" prophecies and save some coins in the long run.
Sextants explained
White Sextants and higher: Additional monsters that heal/monsters with fire, cold, lightning, chaos(yellow Sextant), physical dmg. = Decent for Beyond. 15% packsize, 30% quant. in unid. maps. = Only every use corrupted maps that turned unid for this. Don't use those maps for anything else. This is a great Sextant that let's you push maps past 200% quantity. 30% magic monster packsize. = Use maps with %more magic monsters on them. Bloodlines if available. Rare maps contain additional monsters = Obvious. Areas contain additional Monsters that Convert when Killed = Garbage, drops little loot, reroll. Unique Bosses are accompanied by Bodyguards, an additional Map drops on Completing Areas. = Guaranteed map. Areas contain hunted traitors = Monsters with insane quantity bonus. Use Beyond because they're always ontop of other monster packs. Area contains Breach/Abyss = Obvious. Strongbox Monsters have 500% increased Item Quantity = Top 3 Sextant, use "Monsterous Treasure"-prophecy or "Bountiful Traps"-prophecy and roll all strongboxes for additional rare/magic monsters. Players cannot take reflected damage. Areas contain additional packs with mirrored rare monsters. = Let's you run the corrupted maps with reflect. Yellow Sextants and higher: Items dropped by Unique Bosses are Corrupted = This applies to Exiles and Warbands including the ones from prophecies. You'll get multiple 6Ls/Divines from this. Top 3 Sextant. Areas contain Zana = Allows you to get maps that are not unlocked yet. Strongboxes in Areas are Corrupted = Garbage for the most part. Red Sextants: Nemesis Monsters drop 3 additional Currency Items = Top 3 Sextant. Only use maps with "%more rare monsters, rare monsters each have a Nemesis mod." Only use those maps even if you have to reroll 1-2 for this mod. Works with "The Twins"-prophecy, "Undead Brutes"-prophecy. Use Beyond, preferably even double beyond. Every other Sextant mod should be rerolled.
Temple and Incursions
Do all Incursions and don't miss any of them even tho it's 11 Incursions for one Temple and Sextants always have 3 charges. Prefered Temple rooms for maps: Guardhouse = packsize => more monsters = more maps. Workshop = quantity => more loot = more maps. Surveyor's Study = map room. Strongbox Chamber = Strongboxes => can spawn carto box even in T16 Temple but generally just more monsters. Storage Room = random chests room => can spawn chests from map room, mapping-prophecies and sacrifice pieces. Try to always get these if possible. The other rooms don't matter at all for maps. Also try to always fit in a really high level map to increase the zone level of the Temple(math behind it: (Average zonelevel of all 11 maps) + up to 4 zonelevels, capped by the highest zonelevel of Incursion) Enjoy~. " The issue isn't that people are under-investing, at least for the most part. As the majority of posts are people claiming they are investing 5-10+ chaos (Chisels, alc, vaal, sextants, zana) per map and getting nothing back. It just doesn't add up, when people like myself are consistently, over multiple leagues, sustaining on just alc + vaal OR alc + chisels. (You really don't need more than this, maybe for t16's iI never tried that) When people are over-sustaining & getting more maps than is physically possible to run, the underlying issue here has nothing to do with the game, that is my only conclusion. @Chalace2
You're right for the most part but the "Map droprates are broken"-thread has a decent amount of posts about just alching red maps and not sustaining because I assume players are afraid of investing currency into something else than their equipment. There's no reason to be afraid of investing into maps. You'll always get your total currency back and make profit on average as long as you're efficient and not stupid about it. I'm throwing 30c+ on every single map currently and the amount of loot and profit is insane. I don't think I've ran a single T16 where I didn't break even. Последняя редакция: Scarletsword#4354. " " So not even the map mavens can agree on The Formula. Confirmation bias much? I'm not looking to make an INSANE PROFIT, and I'm certainly not about to spend 30 Chaos on each Red map. I just want enough Red maps (in the quadrant I'm grinding) to drop so I can keep playing on my own. And yes, I routinely Alch & Vaal Red maps, with minimal tangible results. While I basically agree with the OP, I'm not really complaining. I just run the Chaos recipe and buy maps as needed. But the trade price of T14-15 maps makes them a rare delicacy, not that they're actually worth the premium cost in the loot they produce... |
