Everything is about maps drop now?

Maybe it's necessary for T16, I have really never tried it so wouldn't know.

For me, I just like to run maps and get some exp, so as long as I can sustain T10-13 it seems fine for me to just Alc+Vaal etc. (I get a decent amount of T15/16 too of course)

I invested just under 3Ex into that tab, buying Vaal orbs. I easily made that back and probably more, already. and I'm only halfway through the tab. I agree 100% every time I test things you always get your investment back and more.

Which is why I can't understand the majority of the claims people make. The results are consistent, always.

There is an obvious % understandable difference between sustaining 'red maps' which is the premise of all of my posts thus far and sustaining T16 maps. Most notably the pool reduction from optional 6 to 1 tiers...

I'm not looking to make an INSANE PROFIT, and I'm certainly not about to spend 30 Chaos on each Red map. I just want enough Red maps (in the quadrant I'm grinding) to drop so I can keep playing on my own. And yes, I routinely Alch & Vaal Red maps, with minimal tangible results.

While I basically agree with the OP, I'm not really complaining. I just run the Chaos recipe and buy maps as needed. But the trade price of T14-15 maps makes them a rare delicacy, not that they're actually worth the premium cost in the loot they produce...

Chalace2 is talking about red maps in general. I'm talking about eldered T16s and only eldered T16s. A formula didn't get mentioned at any point because there is no formula. I've already mentioned this in at least one other thread where you were looking for a "Formula".
These are just examples from players who can consistantly run these maps every league without any trouble.

But here's a question just for you: Why wouldn't you want to spend 30c on each map if you are able to oversustain your currency on every single map?

Because I'm not into spending my online gaming time flipping maps.

Also, your Atlas screenshot shows what happens when you unlock T16 maps: They get infected with Shaper influence. If you leave them alone, they stay pristine and you can extend your Elder blob to cover all T11-15 Red maps in a quadrant, with Shaper influence totally locked out.

My Atlas strat is to lock down 30-map Elder blobs and run nothing but Red Elder maps. Since you can't keep Elder Rings intact anymore, the next best thing is to monopolize entire Red quadrants, restricting adjacent Shaper influence to as few choke points as possible. Since I can't afford to run T16's anyway, there's no point in inviting Shaper to come infect them.

I dont post on the forums much over the 6 years ive played. But I can safely say that this league, I just alc + Vaal red maps, sometimes chisel 14+ tier. Run it solo. Then do the T14+ temple. I have far more red maps than I put in with 1 alc and 1 vaal cost EVERY run. I hardly ever chaos anything. The only issue I have is t16 because I suck at those and die :P

However, people in my guild complain about it in guild chat sometimes. But me and my buddies who do nothing but alc/vaal and run have no issues what so ever sustaining T11-T15
