AG 21 + Emp 4 + Minion Life 20/20 = about 80-90k life. It will make the AG very tanky. I think replace feeding frenzy if you are worried about AG dying. Elemental Army gives extra max res, so it helps keep alive.

If you watch the spectre showcase series, I have 6k life (double cluster sets). So it is possible to play.

But I think best is 7k and single cluster set. Good damage and good tankiness. Don't forget to have endurance charges! I use small cluster with enduring composure. Some people like to using enduring cry. If you have some passive points, take both +1 endurance changes from passive tree!

The passive tree is for cheap overshock jewel. And if you watch my spectre showcase series, I use overshock jewels.

VB jewels is definitely better! Crit chance becomes much better with higher %. Use it if you want the best (but it is expensive!). And take the notable as well :P

Can we use "Pure Spectre builds" for Slave Drivers or other spectres? Because you said

AG's biggest problem is no sustain. Damage is so low so leech is no good.
Only regen will work, so you need to give it big regen from Mask of the Stitched Demon. It's a bit expensive if you buy it, but you can make it yourself in temple for about 40c (20 + 20). I made 3 already in league (and sell) :P

You can also take Indomitable Army to give it more life and immune to bleeding.

I don't disagree with you but I just don't understand how there is enough points to take Vicious bite on both Large Jewels. that is another 4 points we don't have, due to the position of the Vicious bite. The guide doesn't really specify what to change in order to incorporate the two notables or what to give up in order to get both of the notables. That was my question really, I just asked it poorly.

Redemption Sentry is not a good 'low level' spectre because it has low APS (about 1 attack per second!). So sometimes you will like 0 DPS. You need good level gear to make it feel good.

If you have problems with Slave Driver, I recommend try another lightning spell spectre. I made some videos for them:

About gear, you can make boots yourself with bound fossil. Or buy Bones of Ullr for 1c. Then you only need +1 wand or +1 amulet. Don't get two. I recommend amulet.

Pure Spectres is full DPS mode, but you can keep Mistress + Bone Offering actually. DPS will feel a little better than starter if you use no clusters. But I recommend 1 cluster set to get best balance of damage and tanky.

Skitterbot chill is just a 10% slow, so you can get rid of it I think. But if you prefer more defense, you can change right to other side and put Temp Chains! It will stack with chill actually :D

I like Stone Golem instead of AG.

If you look at example tree I path through 6-passive medium jewel! So actually there is 4 extra passives to get (but you need 5-passive medium).

Another place to respec is Enduring Bond. It is 4 passive points.
