Okay so in terms of "default" amount of Spectres, nothing changes at all, so that's good IMO.

Based on how the Gems scale now, i think it will still be worth getting some +gem levels, because the Specs will be tougher, but not investing more than what's "easy to get" -> so boots, (mandatory) +2 passive, lvl21 gem corrupt (-> that means levelling+corrupting 6x RaiseSpec in offhand is worth now right?), etc.

Other than that, i think "Feeding Frenzy" might not make the cut against FasterCasting, but "Elemental Army" looks very good to use and maybe replace ControlledDest or something?

So you're saying 5 spectres is the goal because empowered 4 isn't worth the support gem it would replace? Is it possible to get the 6th spectre without using empowered and keeping the shield?

Hm... 6 spectres while keeping the shield and not using Empower. It's possible: Level 21 gem & +1 chest & Death Attunement & Mignight Bargain. That's 3 + 1 + 1 + 1. You'd have to deal with only have 65% of your hp. Maybe go Chayula and Hybrid? Not sure if you can get enough eHP.

With all the buffs and scaling with zombies now, is it easier/faster to level with them rather then srs until SD spectres, what's your opinion?

Yes, but the main problem is that for most people the gems are levelling up at the same time, so Phase Run doesn't go over cwdt's level limit until much later.

It's easier to just tell people to keep it unlinked.

Might be. There's no regen in early levelling and their hp is usually quite low, so you need to resummon them all the time. Not sure if the changes make them better in Act 1 to 5.

Maybe a combination of SRS and Zombies? A few pages ago, Explosive Trap was suggested as a smoother levelling skill. I don't think I have time to test that though.

Yes, I'm changing the guide to have the popular spectres in the main part! The build is actually very flexible and only needs a few gem slots to cater for different spectres. This way people can use the spectre they like.

I've found one case where dual wands is worth it.

If going from 1 wand + Victario is 4 spectres (3 gem + 1 tree), or even 5 (+1 chest), with frenzy charges...

It's better to get an additional spectre from levels if the wand would push you to another spectre, and just use that spectre as the monkey that gives Frenzy charges.

Pure DPS gain.
