I'm using Arakaali's Fang to summon spiders along with the specters. I use an orb of storms linked to culling strike to get the on-kill spider summon. Summoning spiders is not super reliable but it works and it cranks up the clear speed. During metamorph add phases I generate spiders too. Its a neat build but I am certainly not saying this is a "better" idea than the main build here but its fun for me. :)

Since I am using a lighting spell for culling strike, I need a non-lightning based spectre if I am to keep EE. I don't have to use a lightning-based spell for cull but OOS hits fast, so it works pretty decently. OOS steems to work better than storm brand so I guess it hits faster. Armageddon brand seemed too slow.

So I guess the question is what's the best non-lighting single target spectre? Or does anyone else have any ideas about this?

(and yes I do have spell echo in there) I have the 'Gain 10% of Maximum Life as Extra Maximum Energy Shield'

Is this only useful if I have eldrich battery? If I don't have that, should I just roll 8% extra life and mana on it?

I noticed Kayella has a totally different tree than I do... I must have used an old one but it's working fine. Just not sure if I need to switch to eldrich or not.

It's OK to use Victario instead of a rare shield, but you should still use Bone Offering to get a high block chance. You should only use Flesh Offering against bosses because their attacks are easy to move away from.

I'm going to update the cheap AG option to give more survivability to your necro.

EB comes from the helmet.

I took out some gems and a couple flasks and put it back in my main build im playing now (mana guardian hoag) for now but for your build, keep everything in the eb/mom offensive build the same except switch flesh offering to bone offering and use the cheap items for animate guardian which should give me a lot more survivability? Like I said I wasn't using animate guardian because I spent every single currency I had at the time to get all the items you see on my lvl 88+ Necromancer. With 6.1k life, 2.4k es, 82, 91, 97 res I should survive no problem with the changes right? My goal now is so get that shield for the defensive eb/mom build. I am not sure if you saw my build on pob but my account is TheChosenOne_ . I was just curious why I was getting killed so quickly and it might be because I didn't have my ag and bone offering.

I've been trying to get my AG die currently at close to 500 depth and over 50 t16 maps he just refuse to die lol, awesome strat thanks. Moreover i won't even care if he dies, just using 1c chest piece, breath, southbound and victario's charity all 5-6c. This should be taken to the original post for cheap AG option, i'm sure he'll die to some rippy random explosions though :P I wonder what's the radius of that blind aura that'd save the whole army

As Kay said the radius is very decent, its a little bit bigger than the fortify radius of Kingmaker, probably on par with sand stance flesh and stone. Its actually a lot more reliable blind than % chance to blind on hit jewels because non boss mobs never take enough hits to get blinded but with this AG chest you will very regularly see mobs with the blind animation on them. Single bosses will basically be perma blinded since AG will always try to get up and close with them. Helps a lot with physical attack oriented bosses, not so much for casters.

By modifying the AG behaviour you can either get him to run far ahead and blind everything in front of you (one direction only, won't help if you're surrounded), or get him to follow close with meat shield and act like a free flesh and stone. I prefer to get him to run ahead because i find projectiles far more dangerous than melee.

I haven't delved anywhere near 500, only barely making 300 right now myself. I imagine the AG's not gonna be safe that far down. He does the blinding part pretty well tho until you get to the final part and things swarm you on all directions. The key is that chest is dirt cheap so even if he dies its not a big loss at all.

Recommendation has changed. Use a blind chest instead of elder regen. Blind reduced enemy accuracy by 50%. It is a massive survivability upgrade.

Interesting idea for the AG! If you use it to run ahead, then it is best to give it -9% res helmet and dying breath for extra debuffs.

I have mine with FF, but I'm always running ahead of my minions...

I had a quick look at your character and I noticed you didn't use bone offering. The AG with blind aura, and Bone Offering in your wand, should give you ennough protection to stand inside packs. Bone Offering is the most important part!

You will still get killed if something gets past the defensive layers, though!

EB + MoM has a higher DPS ceiling with the defenses. I personally switch to it as soon as I can, but the starter build is perfectly fine for all content as well.

To switch, you just need Diadem and some regrets to change the tree. You can tweak it with 2x Thread of Hope, but it will be difficult to balance resists.

Yeah i can't say how much this strat relieved me. Now running that chest with unstitched mask and kingmaker, using it with meatshield as free flesh and stone and fortify buff. I often times see his hp going 70% and to full in miliseconds on deadly metamorphs. Also using him on shield is good as i can despawn him immediately when he loses to much hp, or simply for clear setup.

Block + blind is such a powerful combination. I think the AG is worth having even in the starter build.

Just a quick upload to demonstrate. This is an i83 intervention run. I am able to stand in the middle of monster packs without any real danger.

thanks & GG for the build, firt time in ssf, and everything went well, i was able to kill sirus 7 with a 5L and 3 spectres , 6l and 4 spectres for sirus 8, shaper , elder ect.

i think to follow this build again in next trade league to push futher the dps.
