Hey, just wanted to say thank you for posting this build.
I only started playing the last couple of weeks in the last league and followed a few different necro builds and your build is by far the best one. The leveling guide was super helpful and even though i don't really understand a lot of the mechanics of the late game, your guide helped me focus on other aspects of the game, although crafting is still a huge mystery to me but working through unlocking the recipes. I've read a few comments through out the weeks playing and noticed a lot of people saying the spectres are weak but I haven't had any issues (apart from fights with Atziri, who killed all of my lvl 75 fire-eaters) Finally I just want to say the build is super powerful, I've hit T11 maps while using a gimped set up (4L spectre on chest as I'm greedy with an item rarity gem in my 5th link) and using a 90% rarity string of servitude, which im using to save up to buy a 6L Vis. So again thanks for posting your build and keeping it up to date. | |

quick question on boot craft, is the recipe guaranteed or a chance to give +1 specter? I got increased rarity.....

Great, great guide. The leveling guide really helped me get into this game, after a disappointing 3.5 season trying a sunder marauder.
With this build, I one shot all enemies that are not bosses, and bosses drop quite fast. I have tried to stack life, ending up with about 5k life, and 1.3k ES. With full resistances, this is enough to get by, for now (I have not tried to the shaper, or any real bosses, and I had a lab carry.) My biggest issue, is the Cannibal Fire-Eaters. I am sure their dps is great, but getting them to hit my targets while I am running is near impossible. I also CANNOT for the life of me, get them to attack the boss in the Belfry map, or certain other bosses. Even with storm brand, they won't cast their spells. Another issue, is if I tweak my gear, and accidentally dismiss the Cannibal's, I have to buy more Shore maps to find them (they do not always spawn). So, with the Cannibals not working out for me, I accidentally unsummoned them during a map and had to use a fill in spectre and rose up 4 Flame Sentinels. They were amazingly fast at map clearing (t10 maps). So I switched around some gems, ended up with this - (yes, I would love a 6 socket/link for free) With these Flame Sentinels, and the Greater Multiple Projectiles, combined with + dmg gems and spell echo, my Spectres wipe out entire t14 maps with just me running through (no casting storm brand, and only convocation on boss mobs). These spectres, with this build, are absolutely unstoppable. I swap out Greater Multiple Projectiles for Faster Projectiles on bosses. I am currently swapping out gear for more life + movement speed, as my minions are overpowered. (about 420% increased minion dmg, 600% after minion spell cast) Note* my spectres were summoned in a lvl 83 t16 map, so they are quite high lvl. |
