It seems that GGG has broken something in the latest patch. This is an old bug that was fixed in 3.4 and it would seem that it's back. The FEs don't attack monsters that are 'outside' the area. Bosses like Kitava and Amala spawn in the pit next to the boss area, so become untargettable.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do except for skipping the boss or using a different spectre.

What you can try is a combination of Fire-Eaters and Solar Guards/Flame Sentinels.

That would be Tusk_Luv. He uses 3 Fire-Eaters and 1 Solar Guard, and no Phantasms. The Solar Guard provides some long ranged kill power in the form of its aoe beam attack. He loses some close range boss killing power, though.

If you look at my older videos, you can see that I've also used 2 FEs + 2 SGs, and no phantams:

This is an older version of the build that uses 4 blue and 2 green sockets: Raise Spectre + Minion Damage + Spell Echo + Controlled Destruction + Faster Projectiles + Lesser Multiple Projectiles.

#1: That is exactly correct.

#2: You might need to go into your keybinds and check if 'a' is bound to corpse targetting. You also need to put the curson over the corpse while holding 'a' and then cast Raise Spectre. Targetting can be a bit difficult because the corpses often overlap, so you need to move the mouse carefully. Ocassionally the pile of corpses is just too much of a mess, so just desecrate in another open area and try again.

While you are levelling up, the process is fiddly and annoying. After you finish your second lab, spectres will have survivability than you, so you won't need to do this desecrate + raise anymore.

The levelling guide needs some updating...
Use convocation as soon as you can buy it.
Use haste when you have enough passive points to get the reduced mana passives; zealotry is the most important aura.

Thanks Kayella! I'm doing much better now, especially since putting my gems in my wraithlord, as you suggested, and I love convocation. So nice not to have my Specs behind me all of the time.

One final question tonight, I know that wraithlord is only suppose to be used for leveling. When is a good point to switch from wraithlord to another good helmet? I was lucky and found a good rare jewel that I sold for 80 chaos, so that helps me gear up some.

Once you finish the second lab, you can replace Minion Life with Elemental Focus for more damage or Lesser Multiple Projectiles/Greater Multiple Projectiles for more clear. Later when you get Fire-Eaters, you swap LMP/GMP for Faster Projectiles.

Tabula Rasa can carry you all the way to Shaper. You can completely skip 5L Vis Mortis, so save up for a 6L Vis (about 4ex). You can consider crafting a spectre chest if you have 10+ ex.

Buy the cheapest helmet you can find with highest life and any resists you need:

Awesome, thanks! Of course me being only level 43, I'll probably be pretty limited now on the type of quality helmet I can find at that level, but I'll make sure the resistances on the helmet will at least make up for the resistances I will lose with my current chest piece, as well as a good life roll. I just hope losing the "1,0000 to maximum spectre life" won't hurt me too much.

Appreciate the guide by the way!

2 small changes I made that others may want to consider:

1) Using unique Stygian Vise belt: Would you trade all of your belt's stats for 2 Abyss Jewels? If so, you may prefer it.

2) Using Animate Guardian with Kaom's Roots, Southbound, Leer Cast, Dying Breath, Gruthkul's Pelt... it may die on super high tier bosses, but so far I have not lost it. I'm also using it in a +2 minion helm.






Welcome any recommendations for improvement on my setup as well. I saw someone mentioned Bane and a 2nd minion damage 1h, which I'm considering...

Trigger wand is mostly a QoL upgrade. Even PC players won't get access to it for the first few weeks of a new league because of the rarity of the 'trigger' craft. You will just need to self-cast desecrate and your offering when you need it (ie. on boss fights).

I recommend Earendel's Embrace as a cheap unique that gives minion damage and some stats: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Earendel%27s_Embrace.

More survivability: Dodge Shield

Take the defensive build and drop Necro Aegis and Victario's Charity.
I recommend a elder i85+ 'supreme spiked shield' for the extra spell dodge. The life roll is the most important, so we will just use a pristine fossil for this craft:

Ideally, you want to hit level 5 cast when damage taken and a decent life roll and 10% increased life:

The cwdt is a syndicate craft? or it's a random craft that comes when you use the prismatic?
