No cheating pls
Point is... we can all define cheating in our own way and it doesn't amount to much. It's how GGG defines it that matters. If you get banned for cheating... stop. Or don't. Not my job. But quit whining about it.

I absolutely don't understand most player's reaction to this.
That's like if Blizzard would ban me in WoW for map overlays, bags sorting or seeing actual DPS and monster's HP saying that's cheating instead of giving a way to do whatever players want with the data client receives. I already can smell a hint of Asian game design specificity where they don't care about usability or QoL and are extremely anal about anything done with their precious client buying all these commercial spyware-alike anti cheat engines. Used HUD for stashing items and highlighting these 0.001% of multiple good rolls, seeing actual boss HP numbers as well as my real DPS, lab layout as overlay picture, mob's positions on a minimap (I actually was surprised the game doesn't have options to show the last ones); been using the app for years. And the sad part is that apps that actually affect ladders and competition will not be banned, all the HC players will just switch to ones that detect pixel changes to automatically drink pots/logout on low hp instead of reading memory and the devs won't do anything with that. |

GGG dropped the ball again. Warning? Just blow their accounts away instantly. There should be no tolerance for any form of cheating.

Actually, a warning at this point is appropriate, since they admit that they've expanded the cheats that they'll be banning people for. One time.
But I know for a fact that people will be coming here crying that they didn't get a warning. Too bad. So sad. |

" the way tcp/ip works you can't prevent software killing network connection of any other program. nor easily detect which program killed that connection. even if you install spyware that watches any process on the gaming rig, malicious folks can inject packets on a secondary computer they route the traffic over. the same goes for showing information that is contained in the client/server data, if crackers copy and decrypt the data on a secondary computer your gaming software and spy tools are powerless. ggg does know about these issues, that's why they don't ban tools they can't prevent. offline

Some "bug reports" popping up about it now, since the warning seems to be specific to one program it makes it more amusing.

Are logout macros still allowed? Where is the "the cheat list" anyway? How is anyone supposed to know cheats from non cheats?
I used a F1 logout macro in past but deaths are so fast usually it made little difference I still died so I dumped it and focus on hitting correct flasks instead which often mean difference between life and death. Git R Dun!
