Can we get Determination aura changed?

Well, coil alos gives correct armour and evasion values, plus a correct life roll.
If you are not using many uniques, capping resistances isn't much of a problem, it really depends on the setup.

Loreweave is of course almost always a safe ans sound choice, it takes quite a bit of time to accumulate that many rings though.
I might take 1 or 2 purity of elements as well, especially lightning one with coil.
Fossils also give the same kind of mods, we'll see about that next league.
For examplen I have been using the following rare chest on my CI character this league, I crafted it like ... last week or so, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. I'd love getting some %inc armour from the three ( as the chest has a nice armour value too ), but I can't quite afford unfortunately. Maybe from a ring ... not quite sure yet :

Thanks to this chest, I can pretty much facetank Minotaur with one damage mod on him.

Was also pretty nice, but I feel better in that new fossil crafted chest honestly ( full Lunaris Pantheon too, and Tukohama also for some static facetanking ).


Yea thats good stuff, better than a lightning coil. Lets see what the next league offers. But yea my experience is that phys damage can be most times tanked by just having high ehp while ele damage cant be tanked like that. The Moon Temple boss can blow a 9k ehp char away (given 75% max res and no rng defenses) with an unlucky barrage and doesnt need any damage mods for doing so. I dont know any regular map phys boss who could do that.

You're right though. Armor sucks unless you build for it with other items and defensive layers. And there are a lot of easier ways to getting to end-game. Though, once you hit 60k+ armor, there are no bad map mods for you.

unless for your e-penis, such amount of armour is - as I said - completely unnecessary.
With Aegis, you'd probably do the same thing with 50k armour, r event 30k, or even less.

But you'd likely have other things on top of that that you increase your dps or your ehp.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Good job schooling me. Yea Aegis Aurora has some nice Armour bonusses.

I didn't say that amount of armor was necessary, I'm just saying armor isn't plain useless. We've been on the same page on this, stop trying to argue with me. We already agree on everything.

It's just too niche, hence a re-balance of the mechanic would at least do it some good.

One of the only items that actually gets better the more armor you have. If armor is gonna get any changes, Aegis Aurora is definitely gonna get a nerf before that happens.

Fair enough.
I would not go with "too niche", but all the relatively recent mods definitely do not help it being popular ( even though they do make it scale more easily ).

Regarding 300k armour, I would have not been surprised with a guardian, but with a gladiator ... it must be significantly more difficult I guess.

Because of QotF builds.
Also, Evasion works different from armour. Evasion always provide a certain % avoidance, no matter of how high enemy damage is. Evasion gives great returns at low values, but at high values suffers from significant diminishing returns. That's why adding a flat bonus to evasion is much more benefitial, than adding the same to armour.

I played standard mana guardian with Memory Vault.
Determination pushed my armour from 40k to 70k.

Mana reservation 50% is somewhat high in comparing the usefulness of the aura compared to something like Grace.

But then Haste is also complete BS for 50% mana yet some people use it.

Maybe we could get some Vaal Determination with funky and useful effect :)

Vaal Determination, if ever released, will probably give either direct % or flat physical damage reduction, similar to how Vaal Grace just straight up adds a large chunk of dodge chance. So I wouldn't get too excited over it.
