What does hypothermia actually do in this setup?

you are supposed to use both
and for the chill mechanic with pandemonius i guess

Using fortify for the QOL.

Hypothermia doesn't apply chilled effect anyway.


I'm just curious why/how the hypothermia support gem was chosen.

You need 14% cooldown recovery and 3.70-3.75 APS (cyclone tooltip)

OR

You need 0% cooldown recovery and 2.95-3.00 APS (cyclone tooltip)

You're right Hypothermia does not apply chilled effect. This build does though with The Pandemonius (and vortex). Therefore it gives this build a big damage boost.

To get around 3.0 APS without CDR I need to get rid of Starkonja's. I don't see how you get to 3.0 APS even with low APS on Cospri's and Starkonjas's - it's going to be around 3.3.

assuming you're also running fortify in your 6L for the qol

Ice nova chills enemies. So you do not benefit from the dot part of Hypothermia but you still get 39% damage with hits against chilled enemies 10% freeze chance and 20% chill effect. Correct me if I`m wrong

Recycled my attempt at Frostblades Assassin, into this build. Probably the most entertaining build I've ever used and already feels more tanky... Plenty of upgrades in almost every slot too, thanks for the awesome guide.

Possible to update the tree links, they are using the old tree; or merge them all into the PoB?
