Hey guys, I am crafting the porcupine bow and I used shrieking essence of dread and rolled a +1 to all gems as the prefix, along with the +2 to socketed bow gems. Should I re-roll and go for the chaos damage over time multiplier, or just craft attack speed suffix and call it a day?

"POB your character which is more damage, your characters are hidden but it's something you can check yourself, just edit or import another bow and compare. You need to have empower to benefit from +1 to gems the best (it upgrades both TR and empower). Rank3 empower is very cheap atm though, so I'd expect you're using it already (if not rank4). "Just for despair? Seems like a waste imo. You want automated despair there are better ways: 1. Use Maloneys. 2. Use corrupted gloves with despair on hit. 3. Use ring with despair on hit. 4. Use witchfire brew. Imo to use this helmet you'd need to have a spell that actually adds to your damage to justify sacrificing a 4-link and helmet slot. Oh, and also from what I've read bane is broken in that helmet, i.e. does not apply curses linked to it because you can't "trigger from a trigger" or somesuch. Otherwise it would be a good combo. :( | |

Hi.
Truly been loving your build so far. First time ever I hit lv 90 with a character and so thoroughly enjoyed the journey too. Pushing it to first time Awakener, and hopefully first ever Shaper and Uber Elder too. Would request some feedback on what I can improve (yes I am working on the bow, haven't unlocked DOT multi on Jun yet, and can't really get it crafted from someone else on PS4). "Default POB is inaccurate / completely misses the value of: - attack speed - increased duration - increased area But for things like chaos dot multi vs. gem level you can just check DOT damage in POB and it should show you which mod is better as they don't modify any of the above, they both just increase damage in a simple manner. | |
