If you have enough currency to burn - attack speed is the way to go.
High attack speed bow feels so good.

Hey, first time playing this build, currently I have 20ex to spend. What should I buy next? Amulet with chaos/dex gems? Maybe upgrade my gems to awakened versions? Thx in advance for any help ;)

Hey, do we have any alternative to the totem/wither setup? It feels like the totem is kinda useless since it always gets destroyed immediately.

You can, but it's a bit of a waste, if you go for wind dancer the health wheel next to it gives already 20% and then you can craft 25% on glove, 35% on chest (if not using carcass or qotf or any unique) or 25% on helmet (if using -9 chaos res hubris over vertex). You can use 1 elegant form to not need all the crafts, you can use 3 until you unlock the veiled crafts, but I wouldn't stick with using 3 because you lose life / es and passive points (you can just use a rare normal jewel in those slots instead of spending 2 extra passives on each).

I was pretty much following the guide, but derailed a lot when I picked up unique armor. It was just way too cheap to pass. Should I be concerned? I pretty much sorted my resists out so switching anything later might be troublesome. Or should I leave armor alone and save for a better bow, empower and enlighten gems?

Also, my friend uses a quill rain in a similar build, and that attack speed looks awesome. What do you think of it?

Quill Rains a starter bow, decent enough while doing acts but nothing you wanna stay with.

You need a hybrid chest with an open prefix, your looking for 1200eva/250es or more ideally with an open prefix to add "gain 10% of max life as extra max ES", if your low on $ youd be better served using a cheap restless ward or tinkerskin unique over the one you have.

As the OP says though well over half your budget should be invested in your bow, youll wanna get a mid tier bow atleast, on page 1 just open the "bow crafting" tab to see what he lays out, he lists the damage aswell to give you an idea.

Ill craft my own chest later on when moneys not tight, ill get a i83+ sadist garb with +defence mods enchant or gain 3% of max life as es synth. implicit and just do the usual perfect fossil > dense fossil spam till I get like a 2k+/350+one.

You can use w/e chest you like but this one has 0 life so it kinda sucks.

It's an ok starter bow but you'll be running into mana problems so better carry a mana flask... Point is you can get an easy 6-link bow for like 20c, but you ain't getting easy 6-linked quill rain.
