Hey Beer thanks for your continued input in this thread. What do you think about replacing swift assembly for cold pen for better penetration until better gear is available?

Im also not quite sure on my weapon, I bought this for 90c



Not sure if this is good enough because you mentioned the new bases. How would one go about crafting such a weapon with multimod being nerfed this hard?

You are still looking to alt/aug regal. It’s the same as before, but you are looking to hit 3 good mods rather than 2.

That one will hold you over for now though.

On the cold pen question, swift assembly will still be better as you need it to throw out multiple traps.

Knife is better imo unless you have a ton of currency to sink into the last one.

Tree is almost identical for icicle, pyroclast, ball lightning and arc, gear is pretty similar too, only the weapon would be different. The only real difference for tree and gear is for purifying flame as far as spell based mine builds go.

I’d recommend trying all of them and seeing which you like best.

IMO ball lightning, arc and icicle are all pretty similar in terms of power and clear. However, icicle has freeze going for it which is a huge defensive QoL. With that said, all three have similar downfalls: they take a bit of currency to feel good in t16 maps and against bosses.

Purifying flame and pyroclast are the polar opposite, great boss dps on a budget, but much poorer clear.
