Is it better to have a ~330 ES shield with 12% spell block (75% spell block on character) or go with a non-spell block shield that has 400+ ES which gives only around 63% spell block on character?

" Personally I'd go with the 400+ ES and get whatever little amounts of spellblock elsewhere that you can. :) For example you can get an alternate tempest shield gem for 4% (8%) total spellblock instead of 3% (6%) (though, its gone up this league @2ex). The 2 small nodes that give 3% each, so 12% total with glancing is also an option. But if you strictly had to choose between spellblock 300es shield, vs 400es+ shield... prolly still, i'd go 400es+ shield, just cause it gives such a ton of extra total ES which helps against any/all content in the game, where spellblock naturally only *does* something vs spells. I need some advice from everyone. I have set up 8k1 ESwith 520k DPS without flask in POB but I still died a lot, trap throwing speed is 60/75 Now I have just switched to DPS version with 702k DPS flask up and 7k1 ES how do I survive to leveling up with this build? " I guess this league is very rippy in general. But i noticed two things, the lightning damage craft on your wand does nothing for you since it buffs the elemental attack damage of your wand, not your spells. And you have way more cold res then lightning res, so you wont get the damage buff from wise oak. You can fix this easily but using the harvest cold to lighning res craft on your belt. If you are dying a lot you should switch back to the non cluster setup, you are missing some good defensive nodes, ie writen in blood, insightfulness and deep wisdom. |
