Hi mate, are those stats with your Rumi's flask active?

Also, try get a rumi with 6% spellblock since we already cap attackblock, but spellblock is more tricky. The 2% extra means 4% with glancing.

Don't forget your Tempest Shield is always active when mapping/bossing pretty much 24/7 and also provides you with 6% or 8% spell/att block, depending on which quality type tempest gem you've got.

You can also grab nodes below Arcane Guarding, giving you 12% spellblock for 2 nodes. Alternatively, depending on luck you might get spellblock on your shield while crafting it with dense fossils.

p.s. not related to your question but remember that each raw# ES point is a big value as it increases your total ES pool by quite a lot more than life scaling builds. :)

Finally got an Enhance and now starting the slow journey of leveling it to be able to get all my auras up.

Also picked up this wand, a 20% DPS increase over my former weapon for a total of 24c + 4c for the craft. While some parts of this build are pricy, there are definitely some nice incremental improvements possible.

For the shield, would it be worth dropping the rest of my ~2ex currency on one with say 340 ES + ES on Block? Or should I save a bit more and aim higher?

I did also get this from my own attempts, the original guide says there's a way to guaranteed add the ES on Block suffix but is that still true or is that only with old Harvest rules?

you can gurantee the ES on Block with current harvest.

It will work 100% if you have 3 Prefixes on your shaper shield, then benchcraft "Prefixes cannot be changed" and use the harvest craft "Reforges a Rare item with new random modifiers, including a Defence modifier". The value can be 3-5% so you might want to divine orb if you dont hit the 5% straight away.

I am not sure if it is also guranteed with 1 or 2 Prefixes though.

Edit: Keep in mind your current Suffixes will be removed and you get some random new ones when you use the harvest craft.

thanks OP for the build and thanks to everyone else who is helping with answers and suggestions.

This is my second PoE season. I lost a lot of time at the start trying myself and getting lost in the skill trees, and then I found out that 'you should follow a build guide!'.

I am willing to invest time for learning and playing this, because I liked how you explained in the original post.
My road to the current lv 42 was smooth, but I can't help to wonder how I will be able to stay alive until the transition to more Energy Shield :) I'll try to follow what you explained.
A question:
- any other armor up to Tinkerskin that would help with survability? That has a 68 lv requirement. Shavrone is 74, so there are only 6 level in between.

For leveling you probably just want to use anything you can equip (Level, Int, Dex, Str) and prioitize either flat life or ES (depending on what you focus on atm).

For survivability it is important to have your Elemental Resistsances capped at 75%, and resists on the Body Armour can help you with that.

Other than that you might want to make sure it has as many links (and the correct colors) as possible. When you are lv 42 your goal will be most likely to be on a 4-Link. Your Body Armour is a good place for this when you are looking for one to buy anyways. Later you might as well go to a 5L and then a 6L but this is all for damage and doesnt help with survivability directly.

Later in the Acts or in early maps this stays pretty much the same, but you might gravitate more towards ES and maybe go CI. Other than that still go for resists and maybe a 5th socket link.

That's helpful, thanks! That bench craft is 2ex so I think I'd probably be better off just saving towards buying a 340ES shield around that price.

I can confirm I went with a fairly random 4L until I was level 74ish and could equip Shav's, at which point I started with a 5L which was fine for white maps. One a 6L now and feel pretty good about my clear on yellow and even early red maps even though I have plenty of room still for other upgrades.

It's mediocre I'd say, but low for lvl 95. I'm at 91k atm in HO, but there are people like Ankhain and Vennto in this thread in really great gear with 180k+ tooltips.

I'm clearing everything though, with the 90k tooltip. Also watch my latest YT, the last clip specifically about throwing speed... a char with only 68k tooltip but high af throw-speed:)

You can easily get around 100k+ tooltip without investing deeply.

You should definitely replace your lvl 20 LT with lvl 21 as they cost nothing, in every league they're pretty much free after the first week. That'll bump your tooltip instantly and is much stronger than a vaal 20/20.

Divergent cluster is also a great gem, the tighter spread is a top-tier quality.
Your abyss jewels are very underwhelming. One of them has a good lightning mod, the rest though is very meh, you have easy access to jewels with lightning mod AND also 2% pen or 30% crit and even multiplier ontop (look at my jewels on my various trapper characters from various leagues)

You need the throwing speed pretty badly. Gloves and Belt is where you get/craft it. Also that way you can spec out of the throw-speed in your tree and start getting more pen% from the large cluster setup.

First grab the 2 jewel sockets you're missing asap though and get double multiplier jewels, its tons of dps.

Thanks. I'm playing standard so things are bit harder to get since everyone is playing new league, but I've already improved to 77k with crafted shaper gloves and trap throw speed on belt. Rearranged some skill points too. Resistances have suffered a bit and ES dropped a bit, but it will have to do till I can craft better gear.


What would be a good trap speed throwing modifier? I'm at 46% in character stats
It takes me about ~3.5 seconds to reach max stacks.
