Cuz i'm feeling its quite easy leveling and getting to a good spot before you even start maps, with the new tempest gems and the new insane mana reservations allowing us 4 auras before we even go lowlife or have an enlighten gem and i'm streaming the progress every day :)

Some clips from todays stream and keep in mind, i'm wearing gear that totals 10c value or even less.... shield was 2c, wand 2c, belt 1 alch, boots 1c, rings 2 alch each ... my 5L was 2c but upgraded to 6L via scourge cookin.

Point is, i'm wearing TRASH and extreme budget gear that anyone can afford when they start mapping from w/e currency they pick up during acts.

Yeah, when I enter the nightmare and see demons literally everywhere around your entry, i just press vaal disc right away. Gives me 3 seconds where I cannot die and can clear plenty to be safe :)

How did you get the 6l? Have a 5l 6 socket item and got lucky and added another socket on scourging?

Also yeah this build doesn't take good gear. I was using a non magic paua amulet past level 40 before I realized it.

My gloves are level 9, my belt is level 13......

Was literally just using a random crap 4l for the longest time.

Also would you say the +1 pierce jewel is ok until you get a helmet with pierce? I'm aiming for 2B 2G 1R for my 5l armor and upgrading all my other gear before I worry about 6L armor.

Another thing, we are dropping Caster Mastery to get Block Mastery near the Life Mastery point?

Sure i did.

I can even tell you the main differences between your league start and mine:

1) i played 2hrs friday evening then went to sleep because waking up for work at 5:30am each day kinda makes you really sleepy around 0h00 :)

2) Father of 3, i didn't have one minute to play during the day on the weekend plus i wasn't there on satdurday evening. Sunday i was too tired to play.

3) I played 3 hrs this monday to rush through acts, means i kill as few as i can to go as fast as i can ----> poor loot, almost no currencies where you made around "19 chaos" as you say in your video.

4) This means where you had some budget to spend really early in the league, i have 3 chaos budget that i already almost entirely spend on rainbow strides. I paid 2 chaos and sold 2 items for 1 chaos each. Which means i'm beginning act 9 with a total of 3 chaos and 11 alch. I guess you get how shitty this is when you are planning to switch for life/es to ci or even furether to LL. But anyway, i usually manage to do it, this league is maybe the worst i played in term of currencies looted. Not that bas or unsolvable,, i think i'll have to run blood aqueducs tonight and the two next evenings to do some chaos recipes in order to maybe be able to switch my stuff, if the prices aren't going crazy.

5) Andf you bet i diçdn't score a lucky 6L in scourge. Gratz to you for it, enjoy :)

Thank you for the follow-up you are ensuring and note that i'm absolutely not salty or even worried about it, i was just honestly wondering how you were able to play with such a low amount of hp and es, barely no defesnes and still saying that you feel tanky. I guess you are moving like a cat and are really good in avoiding stuffs. It's for sure not my vision of "being tanky", i'm older so i guess i need more thickness to "tank" :)

I'll struggle with this beginning and make my way out anyway, no worries. i'll take all the time i'll need to sort this out as i'm sure this is fun to play when you have the proper invests made into it.

Ps: i'm not watching streamers play for a simple reason: when you have 2 hrs to play / evening, you'd bettre play the game yourself rather than watching someone else playing it :).

Look at my gear was clearing act 8 with this - Rainbow stride and my current 5l shav's i JUST upgraded to. Not a single piece of gear is remotely good and you can get similar or better with an alch per piece without any hassle.

The being Tanky really comes later when you get all your gear, 1/2 of the defense of traps is that your killing the vast majority of mobs before you even see them because your traps are constantly firing and ripping thru them before they can even attack you.

I managed to get 76% chaos res with One with Evil notable and a few rares bought for 1-10c each and kept hybrid full life/es. Now at lv84 sitting at 1.7k hp / 6.3k ES and saving for 6L shavs/chayula. Damage output is good enough even without Wrath.
Since I felt the eHP and damage were comfortable enough, decided to do uber lab, which was succesful at first try. Lab traps were very dangerous, although Izaro was not since the build is very agile and off screen playable (didn't get hit by him to see if I could tank or not).

Just have one question: best option is still Chain Reaction or should we pick Explosives Expert for the last 2 ascendancy points?

You are simply more used to trap playstyle than i am i guess. Last time i played traps was in ascendancy league. I'm more a witch player usually, that's why i wanted to retry shadow this league. For some reason, each shadow i played felt sqwishy and uncomfortable. Looks like this one won't be different, so i guess this class simply not suit my favoite playstyle.

I just killed Shakari... She managed to one shot me when getting out of the sand. That kind of ridiculous death never happens when i go whith witches. 13 deaths and not even in maps, i can tell you it's really far from my usual way of playing the game. Carpet playstyle is not really my thing XD

I noticed that you have Lightning Penetration support, I switched that to Added Lightning Damage Support instead for more damage, until I get a six-link...

No i've no problem of that sort, i simply suck ass as shadow. I died on shakari, i died on the general in the refinery (those stupid eartquakes while being shocked AND having 1500hp is not really the kind of charachter i build on a usual basis. i'm feel far more comfortable with a necromancer and 8k life, something this way :) ) As soon as the damage output of ennemies ramps up, you are dead if you are stuck or uinable to avoid it on time. The defenses of this build seem to me non existent in early stage.

I gonna give this a try and when i'll be fed up of dying (and i lose really fast interest in a char if it dies all the time. Like 40 deaths on a char, i delete it and build something else, i don't like stacking deaths like coins), i'll quit this build. I already don't interact with the league because in this stage i cannot stand it anyway, so i guess this one will be a dead end for me and i'll move along.
