[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!

no word of any Determination, recovery on block or Aegis Aurora nerf in the manifesto.....

Please double check for me. Best I can see is a buff on Incinerate and not other nerfs...

Can we simulate the Incinerate buff in POB just to see what increase we can get?

Ok I think I understand now. This part is only for added flat damage from other sources. We only get a tiny bit of added damage from Circle ring so I don't think this part of the buff has any meaning to our build.

The majority of spells gained around 45% more damage at gem level 20, resulting in up to 60% more damage by gem level 25.
This is a HUGE BUFF.

You guys need to read this in two parts:

Part 1 - Incinerate: Now deals 3 to 5 Fire Damage at gem level 1 (unchanged), up to 207 to 311 at gem level 20 (previously 140 to 210).

>> This is HUGE, 50% increase in base damage, which then we stack to 10 stages.

Part 2 - Now has 50% Effectiveness of Added Damage at all gem levels (previously 30%).

>> Not as big a buff

I was planning to league start Scorching Ray totems but this incinerate buff is going to outclass that, especially with the adjustments to totem damage to counteract these buffs. Dammit I wanted to give my fingers a break from holding down incinerate...
If i calculated everything right, it's a ~53.7% dmg buff.
So in pob on a first page we'll went from 6.7 to 10.3 mil dps, which is kinda bonkers

Btw, did you guys see the Fortify change?
Seems like it will not be based on the power of the melee hit anymore, so maybe it can be added back to the build?
@clay - I think fortify is still based on hit damage, they just removed the monster damage reduction calculation in it, so probably still not useful to casters.

Goddamit I was right, classic GGG nukes from orbit. I really wanted to league start scorching ray totems. I made a POB that had Aegis Aurora so it was tanky as well, on top of totem play where I can run around, got to around 12M damage...

Spell Totem Support: Supported Skills now deal 49% less Damage at gem level 1 (previously 28%), and 40% less at gem level 20 (previously 24%).

The Soul Mantle Unique Body Armour no longer has +1 to maximum number of Summoned Totems.

Aaah, you might be right!

Yea, saw the Soul Mantle nerf... Rip!
The gem still seems viable though
The best thing for me personally is this big of a dps buff makes a Guardian version viable since that was the only thing holding it back. :-)
With the buff to dmg, do you guys think the Elementalist version might be the better one again, just for the massive AoE convenience?
Or would you still pick crit version?
