[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!
" In both the Inquisitor and Guardian version we link Molten Shell with Increased Duration. When Increased Duration is fully leveled, you can get 5.25 seconds of up time compared to 4 seconds of down time, so it should be up more than half of the time I think..... " I think Andy answered all of them except for this one. It's come up a few times so I'm going to try and explain everything. EHP comparison first: Guardian ehp WITHOUT Bastion of Hope active: Guardian ehp WITH Bastion of Hope active: Guardian ehp WITHOUT Bastion of Hope, but does have Glancing Blows allocated for 75/75 block: As you can see, even without having Bastion of Hope active (and only having 38% attack block) it still has higher EHP than if it used Glancing Blows like the Inquisitor. The reason is due to Glancing Blows making you take 65% of the damage from blocked hits. Also, Guardian has 72% spell block regardless of Bastion of Hope status. Any build that gets higher than 35% block without Glancing Blows will have higher ehp than they will by taking it due to the 65% damage penalty. The thing that POB doesn't take into account is the ES we gain from our Aegis shield. Which one is better when ES gain is taken into account depends on the size of the hit. If the hits are 750+ then you are better without glancing blows. Here are some stats for that: Even without Bastion of Hope being active you have a higher net gain without Glancing Blows. Here's a link to my spreadsheet. You can download a copy and play with the numbers yourself. Formulas are all there so all you have to change is the first four rows for your block chances, hit size, and armour. The differences get even larger the larger the hit is. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Laz77Fk3Ufa7gC8wLIudglsCiXTbG50iYteXAgqCgBI/edit?usp=sharing Последняя редакция: stoudtlr. " I put "46% reduced physical damage taken" or something to that effect, it's in one of my pobs. I can't verify that it's working ingame though. I mean I know it should be, the jewel clearly says so, but it bugs me that it's not grayed out or anything. |

Could I get a rundown on how the guardian version of this build functions and how it's different? I ran the Elementalist version of this build in Expedition and liked it a lot and would like to come back to this build but now there are more versions.

" We have three versions. All play relatively identical until end game. At end game, the Guardian and Inquisitor versions both switch to crit based damage via Leadership Price and sustain Righteous Fire. Elementalist has best AOE Guardian has best defense Inquisitor has best dps You can't go wrong with any of them outside of price as we expect these builds to be pricey this league. |

" It works, don't worry. If it didn't, our tank would be made out of tin foil. :) |

Sorry I couldn't find the explanation for this but why do we run pain attunement if were not ll?

" You count as low life when using "Cowards Legacy" belt if you have vulnerability affecting you. :) then we are immune to Vulnerability by using the watcher's eye determination mod | |
Andy, Clay and anyone else...thoughts on this comparison? Maybe add this or something similar to first post to help those that aren't sure which version they want to pick?
