Yeah i mean a lot of the gear in the POB (at this point) are uniques that, while not readily available early days in the league, (Crown of the Inward Eye, Algor Mortis, and Omeyocan) are also very cheap as time progresses. The only really "expensive" ones are The Surrender (can use Lioneye's Remorse or ANY shield really) and Omeyocan. For the rares, just drop the values down a bit. Life+mana+mana regen rings aren't terribly hard to acquire in general. Mana Recovery Rate Belts are also similarly inexpensive in general. Ele weakness gloves are nice, but you can also just put EW in the trigger wand. The wand is downscalable, can craft a decent one with just lucent fossils and 1 socket resonators. Or buy one. The hardest part is early league getting the trigger craft. Budget PoB link just for you. Even using a 5L. (I ran out of daily pastebins...) I am theorycrafting a very similar league starter build, Mana stacking + the agonistic + mom. I'm also putting 3 more points and grabbing Glancing Blow which I think synergize well with bone offering. Arcanist Brands seems to solve our corpse generation issue at first glance, but with some math it seems that we still need more corpse, especially if you are using spell cascade suppport. Remember that without awakened version support gem and helmet enchant, VD already consumes 9 corpses and with helmet enchantment it consumes 12 corpses, which further requires us to grab the new Undertaker notable (+2 max corpses). Awakened Spell Cascade is almost useless unless the boss fight constantly spawns trash mob quickly (Awakened spell cascade let VD consumes 15-20 corpses each cast but there won't be enough corpses on floor). So basically, we are already reaching our corpse generation limitation with VD casted only. What makes it even worse is Arcanist Brand has a base activation frequency of 1 sec and VD base cast time is 0.8 sec, which means that Arcanist Brand only covers the VD cost if we are casting standing still. In addition to that, the occasional bone offering also consumes up to 5 corpses. We also want more corpses on floor for the up to 50 flat mana regen (it's not much but still something) With an understanding of the above statement, it is clearly that there are 2 ways solving the problem - generate more corpses or reduce VD corpse consuming rate. The first solution (generate more corpses) requires the usage of unearth. It is best to use unearth + GMP + Greater Volley and generate 9 corpses at a time. The problem with this solution is the trigger method. I have so far come with 2 solutions - Scold's Birdle Cwdt and Arcanist Brand. Scold's probrably the best solution here I would say since we have so much regen. The second solution would be use spell echo instead of spell cascade. Spell echo brings the cast time of VD to 1.176 x 0.8 = 0.941 sec which is close to arcanist brand activation frequency. Also it makes VD consume only 6-8 corpses per cast and frees us an annoint on necklace. The downside is it greatly recudes damage output. In compensation to that, I am thinking using Kitava's thirst for some free damage. This solution may not be optimal but is definitely much easier to achieve and should be used as a league starter solution. Myself are planning on using Spell Echo + Kitava's Thirst to start as a league starter and transfer to Scold's + 2 sets of cwdt when I can afford it (Zana does not have Torment this league so the price would expected to go up quite a bit in the beginning). Same thing with Arcane Cloak. 65% of current mana? take 4x that as phys? instant death. haha I have done spell echo as a means to reduce my corpse consumption back during my self cast VD+Scolds era in 3.8. I could see doing this as fine, though you get stuck in one place longer--will at least test it. VD +1 Consume enchant is not BIS when you have Spell Cascade. You just consume too much to matter. Better to have a useful corrution or other enchantment. Also keep in mind corpse pact MASSIVELY increases the cast times of both VD and Desecrate. Desecrate with quality also has 20% increased cast speed for the initial startup. Branding Desecrate can work as 2 brands can attach at the same time to 1 enemy. Should be fine for corpse generation. If not, add in Unearth somehow (socket space becomes problematic here). As for glancing blows...I just don't see a need when I am block capped with Rumi's and zero attack block investment. At that point it's better to just take NO damage from those hits. I'm not actually doubling either of my block chances so I'd be taking more damage overall. Kitava's thirst is worth trying. 50% proc chance is a LOT better than 30% but I still fear it's just not as good as Crown of the Inward Eye for damage+mana. At that point it's better to just take NO damage from those hits. I'm not actually doubling either of my block chances so I'd be taking more damage overall. Kitava's thirst is worth trying. 50% proc chance is a LOT better than 30% but I still fear it's just not as good as Crown of the Inward Eye for damage+mana. Ya, I completely forgot about our huge mana cost which prevent us from using scold's lol. I just found out from Reddit that we have some problem with VD that it does not always consume all the corpse on floor even when there is enough. It is something like a target issue - I think it also prevents us from using instensify probrably? The target consume range would be too small maybe? I have never noticed something like this so maybe you can give me an answer. Besides that, I also realized that even with 9 balls each VD cast it would be quite broken. VD has effectiveness of added damage as 120% and 9 ball with spell cascade (0.79 multi) would be 711% on single target. Compare that to Storm Brand with a effectiveness of 40%, double brand on enemy which is 80%, and consider the activate frequency 0.6s (now 0.5s) to VD cast time 0.8s which is 80% x (1 + 1/3) = 107%....VD is about 6.5 times the single dps a storm brand would do. The problem before for VD was always the corpse generation. Spellslinger solves that problem and it quickly becomes a very popular build but they cannot use archmage (only added damage on wands, which is way inferior than archmage I say). Now with Arcanist Brand kind of solving the corpse generation issue, I really suspect this build could become broken. Hope it actually works like how I am thinking. BTW, there might be an ultimate solution. Use staves for VD 6-L and chest for arcanist brand + desecrate + spell cascade + unearth + GMP ( maybe + GV but I think Arcanist Brand has projectile limited to 5) , this will make arcanist brand generate 17 corpse each cast - enough for awakened spell cascade and it would further boost VD single target dps to an insane level. Use Kitava's thirst to automate offering and some other utility spells. The downside is this makes us really socket hungry. (only 2 sets of 4L for QoL skills, 1 for arcane cloak and 1 for movement skills) Последняя редакция: toushi1.
