Would a reworked Synthesis league mechanic interest any of you?

can somebody enlighten me about synthesis league?

has it been intentional that players knew the crafting table on league start?

or has the intention of the league been that players need to find out about crafting outcomes themselves?


imho it's been the latter and the known crafting table ruined the whole league cause it invalidated 95% of all synthesis affixes.

personally, i'm in for a revival but i don't see how the complicated and time consuming tile setups that made the league exciting could make it into the game.

maybe if they joined synthesis and the eternal labyrinth and made build the shortest/unrewarding or longest/rewarding path to the emperor?

Yes.

But
-Make pieces join on all 4 edges. Or at least 3.
-Boost uses per tile so it doesnt feel like so much building for so little running content. (Have their bonuses lowered per use instead of just dissappearing?)

And most important
-Go back to the original Synth (not the rework) where you can stack a lot of bonuses in the connected chain, not just adjacent tiles.
Well, I didn't play Synthesis that much because I didn't like it at the start of the league and went for something else. Later I heard they made it work very well and many players really liked it.

So I guess I'm interested :-)

I have no idea if it was known however I wouldn't say that the values being published ruined the league, the league itself had a great many mechanical problems before you even got to synthesis items themselves and then the fact most mods weren't worth anything was a choice by GGG rather than the players.

Honestly i'd love to see them revisit synthesis, its #2 on my worst leagues list but it isn't because of the concept or monsters/bosses etc its because it had an awful implementation that they barely fixed a month in.

If they do it again and we don't get insta fogged out of instances and can rotate pieces to make the paths and it works like its supposed to i'd love to play it again, even with most synthesis items being garbo.
I loved the micro-map and build your own adventure mechanic, possibly my favorite league mechanic ever added and have always hoped they would add it back in. I did not enjoy the rush to get through before everything collapsed though, or how a misclick could really screw you over. The advanced spreadsheet crafting stuff, just as much beyond me as syndicate or delve, don't much care if it returns or not.
