Does anyone else think/feel that 3.18xpac (Archnemesis mods)+league might be a big (shadow) NERF?
So basically rare mobs now will be able to have up to 4 nemesis mods instead of the old mods which are removed.
First thing is that these mods are usually somewhat combined from different effects and while YES, these mods/writings will clutter less screen but in fact it's same or worse when you will be doing a recap in your head trying to remember what each mod does. So in the end there might be as much lines as it was before. BUT OK, this is only the graphical and memory issue that I see, which is not my main point... MOVING ON. The NEMESIS MODS are definitely? more powerful than the regular monster mods that were in the game this whole time? Idk but I felt THIS in ARCHNEMESIS especially when combined and some are COMPLETE CANCER. SO imagine instead of previous mods you get 4 new much STRONGER mods on a rare monster. Doesn't it feel as though the rares are much stronger now? Pair it with SENTINEL league and it becomes even more overkill... Why did GGG roll out both of these things together? Sentinels on top also increase monster DMG, LIFE, MODS or whatever else they boost and it is already like power of rares are multiplied by X (IDK do the maths urself, I basically have no clue) Now imagine there are 2 or 3 such rares in one pack :DDD ALSO, CHRIS WILSON SAID there are no NERFS this league but in fact, if you take into account what I've told above and think about how nothing in a passive tree was buffed, no ascendancies were buffed, no skills were reworked/buffed, no new skills or earlier game good UNIQUES were added AND LITERALLY nothing really was done to COUNTERWEIGHT the buffs that rares have received, doesn't it feel as though multiple layers of NERFS were pushed on the player? TLDR, since there were no real buffs more or less you're in the same spot you were before YET, rares are much more powerful now and in addition buffed by the sentinels on top of it all... (well you can choose not to use league mechanic but why play league then?...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This league I'm not actually even sure what to look forward to, since only a few atlas passive keystones and these item combine currencies to make a new combined item from 2 might be a little bit interesting (I wonder how much these currencies will cost :D ). Other than that there is not much else apart from fat end game bosses? Feels like this xpac and league is mostly driven towards streamers, good for them I guess. You mean archnemesis mods. Some of them completely shut down builds. If they introduce them back untoned down to manageable levels its going to be a total crapfest.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

" Thats exactly the problem, we have no insight or info, what or how they gonna tone them down or if they will be doing it all, they just told what, ADJUST? I'm sorry, lowering it by 5 or 10% I don't think will help much. So it is normal that players might be concerned but even toned down 4 mods on rares (which we don't know again how frequent) might be as you've told, will be a complete crapfest... The best approach in my opinion here would be if for example multiple new mods roll on a rare then they have diminishing returns or something. 1st one works at 100%, then 2nd 80%, 3rd 60% etc. and even then I'm not sure it will be enough. I remember I got an overcharged, extra fast and life regen mob in act 2 :DDD ... My *ass was handed down to me. I had to open TP, kite the f*cker to the exit, then die or quit don't remember and then go back to safe TP from town... Welcome to new path of exile when you avoid rares. At least in ARCHNEMESIS league you could have controlled what rares you create thus having some control. Here it might be a compelte clusterf*ck since you can't choose, you just meet rares randomly. Many people dont realize how big this change is
Rare mobs are in Heist/ Blight/ Deli/ Delve/ Alva/ Legion/ Breach/ Expedition/ If they are not balanced right and are overtuned All the end game content will feel horrible Like I said they will cause people to quit in droves if they messed this up Every league is a beta anyways 2 weeks before we get a patch that kind of fixes issues is generally how it's been for years now Some leagues they just straight up abandon and let die, like Arch Nemesis They said retention was great? No it wasn't, Percentage-wise they had the most massive loss of players ever recorded in the history of all leagues ![]() From 158,000 Peak to 40,000 Peak in 1 month (the percentage on the chart is the avg players gain/loss) That's more than 70% loss in a month Steam charts is at least 40-60% of their playerbase and it's a pretty accurate representation of the community If massive player loss is shown on steam charts, you can assume that people are quitting/stopping in the same percentages on stand alone Последняя редакция: Bloomania#2606. I mean, the league and this expansion already feel pretty empty and void, nothing really to be excited about, maybe top players are excited, but this league feels very lackluster along with xpac.
And now THIS, insane rares. WTF. Maybe they are going for 90% population loss, who the hell knows. New mute system is terrible - no trade...

" Well idk if you'd consider me a top player I made over 800 ex in 3 weeks of Arch Nemesis I run a guild/discord of POE players None in the group is excited or hyped So no even the OG players, like myself, who go ham in the leagues and can afford to make any build No we aren't that excited or interested BUT....
