Uber bosses needs more phases to prevent glass cannon builds killing them instantly
there is only one solution to insta kills. Give all bosses dynamic HP, 10 bil dps, ok 10000 bil HP.
But heck, i think ggg can't even calculate people's damage, else.. i mean look at the tool tip's. |

This has to be the worst solution I've seen so far - let's punish people for gaining too much damage, lol

" And preloading traps/mines/totems because boss is in role play dialouge and than one shotting them is consider good end game uber content gameplay? | |
So? You can take action to fix this type of gameplay that doesn't involve progressively increasing the boss' HP and making your increased damage pointless.

The Uberbosses are fine as they are.
The builds needs rebalancing. Some of them do 200mln dps and some just 2mln. Stop making absurdistan statemtement's without any info about what is what.. |

200 million isn't even that impressive tbh

The biggest issue ive seen with uber bosses is that melee builds were gutted for ubers this league with the withering step/nightblade nerf. Sure you can pain your way through them now with melee but its pretty painful. while trap/mine builds just obliterate them while standing across the screen.
The permanent degens are so much harder for melee, and given melee need over double the damage on pob to do even half the same dps as a caster because of uptime issues its really just a waste of time. Rage vortex is the only viable uber farming "melee" if you wanna call it that. Nightblade gets murdered so youre forced to play a ranged attack as a melee type character. Makes no sense to me. |

This is an interesting topic.
The paradox is that like with most things in Poe, if you are to specialize or farm ubers, you will be looking for something that trivializes them, not going through the mechanic. Because you want to kill them asap. And as with most (but not all) things, driving your dps through the roof and prestacking damage is the most effective way. Otoh, if your build has ramped up damage you won't be able to phase as well. To learn the mechanics, it's best to have a tanky toon that can take a hit or two. Ironically, where Uber mechanics shine is in hardcore or in mode like gauntlet where one little mistake means your character. Phases are a solution that have mandatory phases even for those who have a lot of damage. This is the first league I'm really trying out ubers etc and maven/exarch are really in a class of their own because of mandatory phases. The other ubers can just be dpsd balls to the wall. Phases isn't the best solution, but it is in the current state of game the only way to at least have mechanics in the fights against players with hundreds of millions of dps. And no, I don't think having a billion dps glass be THAT much better than a zdps tank against top content is healthy for the game. Not all content is like that though. Similacrum, on other hand, you will need at least somewhat balanced build to do all waves. I may be wrong. |

Honeslty?
Some sort of true-damage reflect sort of thing. Have it be a very, very tiny amount that is negligible with reasonable damage, but that'll just blow up a glass cannon in a heartbeat. Basically, think about what happens when you try to ele glass cannon down Uber Atziri. You just blow up on the 1% reflect phase. Zero defense, zero sustain, zero survivability? Okay, you die in a heartbeat to the negligible reflect damage. Couple that with short bursts of invulnerability (E.G. a quarter of a second just to breakpoint a zillion DPS), and you've basically got bosses that can't be cheesed in ways that most players won't even notice. Basically, you don't need invulnerability phases ala Shakari or Sirus. You just need a couple of anti-cheese mechanics that most people won't ever notice. It's the same way that GGG added flicker spiders in Delve that would just kill any 1 HP hide-behind-a-frost-wall zHP builds, but anyone else would just see them as random regular mobs with negligible damage.
