Updated to 3.23 - Affliction League - Added POB for 3.23 - Maximum Ele Resis drop from 90% to 88% due to removal of tattoos  Introduction I have never played Guardian before, decided to try out the the new Guardian ascendancy in 3.22. It turns out to be a quite tanky build (72/64% block, 90%all ele res/75% chaos res/100% spell suppress) with decent clear speed, it can even clear Simulacrum 30 rather reliably. Although I have done some ubers with this build, it is definitely not a great ubers boss farmer due to melee playstyle and high damage ramping time, bosses other than ubers are not too much of a problem though. If you looking for a tanky build to map with decent clear speed, try out this build, enjoy! Build Thought

 The new Elemental Relic provides all three elemental damage aura (Hatred, Anger and Wrath) for 5 secs. To benefit for all three aura, we need a physical damage (converted or not) minion. To have all Elemental Relic up all the time, we also need a minion skill then hit fast enough (or have enough numbers of minions). There are a few options, but I chose Dominating Blow because I never tried this skill before. Why Herald of Purity?

Herald of Purity scales very much the same as Dominating Blow, and it can benefit from all three elemental damage aura as well. They even have same summon mechanic. This helmet allow us to have 6-linked equivalent HoP minions without increasing the mana reservation of HoP which is great as we will have more mana for other skill's mana reservation. Why go Block? Aegis Aurora? 90 all ele res?

 Bastion of Hope ascendancy node provides a lot of block and Aegis Aurora provides a lot of defense if you have decent block chance and armour. There is a well known max cold resis stacking Melding of Flesh combo with Aegis Aurora to get high maximum resistance for all elemental type. The max cold res stacking became much more easy this league because of this newly introduced tattoo as well. Why stack Spell Suppression as well?

To be able to use this tattoo, we need to path to dexterity node on right side of tree. Because of this, we have access to some Spell Suppression nodes on tree, and there is a popular shenanigans of The Green Nightmare with Tattoo of the Arohongui Moonwarden that gives a lot of Spell Suppression, which makes stacking Spell Suppression a lot easier this league. Leveling using SRS from act 1 to act 4. You can choose to switch into dominating blow or continue using SRS after you got first ascendancy node. Grab Sentinel of Radiant as soon as possible, it is so strong in early game that would carry you all the way to white map no matter what you play. Grab "Resolute Technique" as soon as possible if you choose to do dominating blow right away.

Hi,
I'm actually building toward your build and it's lot of fun. My caracter is already remarquably tanky despite not having yet the spell supression & melding stuff. Since I'm an alch&go type of guy, I would like to know if you have some advice in order to cut the spell supression for more clear speed ? hi how did you reach the 90 resistance? do i need 3 tattoo for maximum ice? cause i think the 40 percent increase in ice effect for me is only 1 percent? is this right?
