Yet players have been supporting the game for over a decade, giving them money. And we were told things (like "PoE2 will not affect PoE1", or "new league every 3 months", etc).

Actions speak louder than words therefore people are mad, because they get told one thing for it then not to happen. And it's justified.

It's not "behaving like spoilt children", making them accountable for promises they made. Some people has actually invested alot of money into the firm, and as i see it, they just want GGG to upheld their visions and promises that was made back then. That is not:" Spoilt children behaviour" That's reasonable adult expectations.

People decided to pay money into the company, and they always got something in return, didn't they? How can you blame the company? do you go to mcdonalds and buy a burger and say you don't like it?

1x RF character in Standard and 1x RF character in Settlers... probably just started playing last league... and hasn't been on board for many years.

Sorry but paying customers have a right to complain if unsatisfied, period.

it's actually better to not respond at all and reduce the surface area of angry comments. it's a reasonable PR tactic to contain the backlash. they didn't ask for feedback and it's not a negotiation. they just presented what is most likely all they can do assuming they put all eggs into the poe2 basket and there was no plan b with poe1 because they got nothing for 3.26.

to be clear, i think this delay was handled very poorly and the way poe1 gets treated is a joke. i'm not a whale, but i made my account during open beta, i think the foundation of poe1 is solid and i want that game to be improved while i don't care at all about poe2. i was already very detached from the game due to the way they have neglected it for over two years, but 3.25 brought me back with the currency exchange. i can't say i'm very hyped about the future of poe due to this announcement and the lack of effort with the relaunch of settlers.

I think this was 100% true in the past, and probably still true in some PR circumstances, but now I feel that if no response is given, influencers will just fill in the holes with likely negative, and fair to say incorrect, information that just rips the company to shreds. I think "gamers" are completely done with a lot of the BS that is going on in the games industry now adays, and by no means am I saying this is to the level of crap that is concord or dragon age the veilguard, but we're looking for a company that probably doesn't and will never exist. That being a company that is as open to feedback and that will respond, and more importantly act upon feedback/their mistakes.

Imagine X company puts out something the community dislikes, like loot boxes or something of that nature, where money is changing hands, and they said nothing about it. It would generate anger, but in all likely hood, would blow over. Now imagine said company comes out and says, "Hey guys, we're struggling on the revenue side, we're thinking about doing "Y" to help generate some income, what do you all think?". There would still be some backlash, but I would imagine it goes over 100s of times better than just releasing it, and saying nothing.

There is a difference in what you expect to get in return, and what you are getting in return. Expectations are made by promises or agreements. (Why is it
named ""Supporter packs"" if the reason for buying those specific packages,isn't by supporting the idea/promises)?

I'm not either one of the biggest "payment supports" neither one of the "smallest". And i love PoE, ever since my friend introduced me almost 3 years ago. I'm even happy for the "relaunch" it makes everything start from a fresh, which is the exciting part of PoE in my honest opinion.

But i do understand the people, that is way more invested in this is dissapointed. And to some extend, i feel the same way. I was looking forward to a new league, and to tryout PoE2. The delay on PoE2 is understandable, well communicated etc. But i do really wonder, why GGG was so fast, precise and honest about why the delay of PoE2 happened, when all we got was this message for a relaunch on PoE1. That bugs my mind.

I mean, you can try to tilt me how ever much you like by calling me a child. It only confirms my theory of you being a troll.

These private settlers league give me so much desire to play... :/
Tokyo game show PoE 2 got 3 comments pages, and here 73 pages with 90% customers disapointed. GGG please we love PoE 1 !

Imagine going to McD ordering and paying for BigMac but getting McDouble instead and not being able to make a complaint. That allegory of yours was a complete illogical miss.
edit: You need to understand that people are angry not because they like on hating the game but because they love this game. Unfortunately there wasn't much to love lately.
