Changes to Path of Exile's Account System
"Unfortunately, any purchases made on PlayStation platforms cannot be used on other platforms, and purchases made on other platforms cannot be used on PlayStation platforms. Note that these purchases can still be on the same sub-account, but the microtransactions will be marked as unavailable when viewing them in your stash."
I have xbox and I test POE1 before POE2 (about 3-4 weeks ago). I like game and was told that microtransactions pass to POE2. So I buy 200 coins. I just buy PS5 for a POE2 before delay. It's possible to get a refund 200 coins to use them on account on PS5 if is not possible? Or I just lose money before EA? |

" POE2 is a different game entirely, it would not make sense for them to have the same name pools. This is just saying that when they add connecting accounts on POE1, characters with the same name on PC/console will have numbers since PC and console had different pools. POE2 is going to be crossplatform immediately so this will not be a thing, or if it is, not as big of a problem. |
|
" Contact Support. They may be able to move the coins for you, or offer you a refund deal. Do note that this problem was foreseen long ago. Sony is very well known as despising cross-platform interaction and player freedom, and Jonathan had said before that Grinding Gear was doing their best to negotiate with Sony but could make no promises. The writing was on the wall for this one. You can still play your PlayStation characters on PC and vice versa, and PlayStation players can multiplayer with PC players - those are honestly huge wins considering Sony likes to treat PlayStation as a steel-walled fortress 'garden' no other may touch. Let's just hope we don't get punched with the needless "PSN Account Required!" horseshit the way Helldivers and Horizon did. |
|
" All character names will be available for PoE2 when it comes out. I emailed support about this and they got back to me really fast on this one. Example, in the event I worded it poorly. I have the name GymDay on PoE1. That name is up for grabs on PoE2. |

So frustrated, isn't it possible to issue a voucher or automatically gift purchased tabs from PS to PC? I don't even care for cosmetics. So much for cross play / cross buy promise...

To get some clarification on the PlayStation MTX policies:
If I have a PSN account with a ton of MTX (and I do), I understand I won't be able to move along cosmetics. That's painful, but I may be able to live with that. However, given that those characters are playable on other platforms, do I have access to those cosmetics (and more importantly, stash tabs) when playing with that sub-account on a different platform? If the answer is no, then I have some serious questions about whether or not crossplay / cross-progression is even possible between PlayStation and other platforms. What if I log into a PS5 character on my PC and need to put something into or take something out of a stash tab? Will I not have access to my stash? |

" You do realise that the real world has stuff like laws, and unlike your kindergarten teacher the government(s) of multiple countries don't care if everyone is happy I don't know why they cant do Xbox and not PlayStation, but that's for someone else to talk about (Probably has to do with sony being a bitch with cross-platform though idk) | |
Gosh.... discriminators... I was so happy when Discord finally decided to remove them and now I will have to remember a stupid pin code when friends will want to join my adventure on POE. Amazing, just amazing.
And I'm pretty sure it will be coming one day with an MTX to change your discriminator to a number you will be able to remember ? |
|
" Cynical fearmongering aside, no. Discriminators are annoying, yes. They're also one of the simplest, most economical and generally fair solutions to "we have thirty million people all trying to use the same couple thousand memey pop culture names, and/or at least thirty John Smiths per region." Path of Exile tried to go without discriminators, and it resulted in the issue Jonathan mentioned of new users never being able to register an account name and bouncing from the game because it's not allowing them to play. You won't be able to bypass the discriminator. You'll find ways to make it work, or Grinding Gear will. Either way, better discriminators than another month's delay Последняя редакция: 1453R#7804.
