I've been watching this post for a while and haven't played the game in about 2 weeks because of this issue. Even with the limited coding knowledge I have (I took about a years worth of programming classes in college), these symptoms point to an infinite loop of sorts and is NOT a Windows issue and is most definitely some sort of coding issue. Also being that its happening in both PoE 1 and 2 is probably some legacy code that got ported into PoE 2. You guys defending GGG saying its not their problem look pretty stupid.
Alright mr. genius programmer, explain the following to me. How is it possible that I downgraded to Windows 23H2 about 3 weeks ago and haven't had a single crash since?

And yet people with 23H2 are consistently crashing and I've heard about people on 22H2 are crashing. Also this has been reported to be happening in Linux as well. So, again..... I point square at coding.

For me it was crashing on release day on both machines with DX12 Win11 24h
Then it stopped on the one but kept crashing on the other.
only difference is the cpu not crashing 7950x3d with 4090 crashing 7800x3d with 4080. I dont know why the 7950 was crashing on release but stopped doing it several days later.

Given the random-ish nature of the crashes, could this issue have anything to do with network conditions or anything that could be dynamic and volatile, at least partially? Does the game simultaneously download large amounts of data while overutilizing the CPU?
IDK, it would be possible to run a bandwidth monitor or traffic interceptor, but that's GGG's job really.
It might be worth trying to throttle bandwidth while playing the game and loading, for sh×ts and g×ggles.

IMO, there is clearly more than 1 issue going on simultaneously here. It seems to be a cascading failure.
Windows 24H2 is buggy and needs a post-holiday patch
Nvidia game-ready drivers are buggy and need a post-holiday patch
POE2 (which relies on both of the above) is buggy and needs a post-holiday patch
What I don't understand is why these companies release huge software updates and games right before Christmas.

Hi everyone, whilst we have already been investigating this issue already, it would be massively helpful if you could provide your dxdiag output by doing the following on windows:
run > dxdiag > save all information
and sending me that file or it's contents in a private message.

Imagin having a job that for a month you give no information or replay. Most jobs would fire you for that.

Good laugh out of the LOTR comment. Not going to lie quite disappointed that both POE1 and POE2 are at issue. Brand new PC from Mid Dec- 9800X3d and 4070 super. Same loading screen freeze issues. Hopefully there is a response in very near future.
