POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"definitive fix" telling people to uninstall a windows update that came out 4 days AFTER the launch and poe2 crashes started to occur... What about the 23h2 crashes, thw windows 10 crashes, the windows 7 crashes, the linux crashes, the xbox crashes and the identical poe1 crashes that started in april 2024. Another dumb dumb definitive "fix" lol

fwiw #1 and #2 do work, can also manually do affinity with task manager to contain the crash. But the 24h2 and #3 are just wrong and fake news. Just google that windows update.. December 10th 2024... when did poe2 come out? oh right

Yep even worse now after the "fix". Loaded into game.. wait no, not loaded. Loaded and stuck on the first loading screen, already disabled 2 cores so just crashed and restarted. Then actually loaded in slowly, tried to go to trial of Sekhimas, boom fucking crashed again. Unplayable unfortunately, I'm done for now GGG. I'm not bricking my PC for you.

So now I'm crashing with a full system freeze at the character select screen instead of playing russian roulette when changing zones.

Can't even play AT ALL now since the recent hotfixes. Great.

Same here. I am guilty of purchasing the $460 version. I really want GGG to succeed with PoE 2. I WANT to play the game, but I'm also not playing because I'm scared of corrupting my SSD or ruining my CPU/GPU. I experienced a similar issue with Amazon's New World where it fried my EVGA RTX 3080. I'm just going to be patient and let them sort this out.

3) Uninstall the Security update for KB5048667 - removes the conflict which is causing the processors to run up to 100% and freeze your computer.

Okay, this let me get to the character select screen and load in again. We'll see how much of an actual extended play session I get, but this is actual progress for me.

As of today, i cant even play the game. reinstalled nvidia drivers, verified game files, tried changing all kinds of in-game graphics settings (too many to list). As soon as i portal, game will crash and lock up the pc. mouse moves a bit stuttery, but as soon as i try to bring up task manager, pc crashes. gotta hit that reset button. absolutely love this game. Sad i cant play it anymore.
4080 super. 7800x3d, 32gb 6000 ram.
fingers crossed it gets fixed eventually...
