I don't know if any of these updates will fix the current freezing issues, though. I am definitely not launching PoE 2.

Not sure if this is a red flag or not, but here's the way it went with me.

It showed up in my windows update, but kept failing to even download. So I removed the contents of the "software distribution" folder inside the windows folder (which is a fix for the update download errors) and rebooted. The update is gone, and another reboot and several "check for updates" doesn't show it.

Maybe they yanked it already after the kerfuffle with bluetooth and webcams?

this happens to me too and it has gotten worse before it would freeze my pc and have to hard reset when changing zone now it is happening as soon as i launch is GGG going to fix this?

Going to test latest win 24h2 cumulative update, I'll be back after the freeze. o7

edit: annnnd it froze, back to poeuncrasher, heh.

I'm running Windows 11 on a Ryzen 3600 and a 3070ti with 16 GB ram.

I have updated everything, including BIOS. The one thing that helped me a little, or it might be a fluke, was installing NVIDIA studio drivers from 10th dec as a clean install.

That beeing said, I can usually play 3-5 maps before i have to hard reset my computer. Game is not playable in its current state, I just wish there was another PoE-like game with WASD out there :/

Problem is pretty interesting

Never had the problem with the game whatsoever - not PoE 1 and not PoE 2

But as soon as I updated Windows version last evening - the game just became unplayable. Pretty sure the freeze has something to do with Windows update too.

I just checked today if I can play, after selecting my character then warping to apex, game freezes. So yeah, after a minute logging in, poof... force shutdown of PC.. okay meaning it's not yet time to play again POE 2

So just to say it, because at this point it is true. THEY DON'T CARE.

This problem has existed without any formal acknowledgement. EVERY interview they have ever done did not remotely include anything about this problem. Every streamer who is affiliated with GGG never brings it up, all they ever do is placate and suck up to GGG.

So, at the end of the day. I more than consider it fraud. They aren't upfront with how bad this issue is, or the gross number of players it effects. They continue to take people's money however for a broken product without being forthcoming with the knowledge that the game is broken.

FRAUD!

If I could get my money back and cut ties with GGG forever I would, but sadly they got me.

But it will never happen again.
