While true, this is probably not a MoM friendly skill and makes MoM a lot less effective at mitigating heavy hits. It entirely depends on how good you are at damage mitigation and how tanky you want to feel.

Ok, not the nicest way to word that. I havent been following any streamers, so I only know how it felt to me and it felt bad. by the sounds of it though, I was just using it wrong trying to maintain uptime. Your links sound solid (inspiration is a great idea, cull too!) and I'll add it to the guide as a good dps boost.

For the same reason I don't run grim feast, I'm not interested in mana remnants. You're absolutely right about the OoS having mana font and I'll add that to the guide, as the electrocution is overkill. that's a great idea for when you've got cast on shock setup.

Get a staff with power drain mana get more stages. It's the best skill even if it drains mana it upgrades the power stages like crazy. U hit mana pot you good to go again. If you then combine frostwall in the mix as a sort of mine spam spark it's like you are slicing through butter. I go power>orb>temp>spark and if needed use frostwall.

Yep.

The unique The Three Dragons helm would have very good synergy here. All lightning hits > cause frost build up instead. Basically perma-chain freezing the screen.

You could swap out cast on shock to freeze and put in Comet perhaps?

I haven't changed around the tree at all, just testing so far but it seems to have work quite well (only in Cruel at the moment though).

Some part of my lizard brain is remembering this was a thing years ago in the original POE when Spark become quite popular. Worth looking into at least. The added safety of freezing everything would work well for maps I guess.

EDIT: Tried it. Love it. Comet with impetus has an insane clear speed. might need to take a few freeze buildup nodes to reliably freeze bosses though.

With three dragons do we focus on chance to shock or chance to freeze?

Thanks for this build, playing through Act 1 with it (village at the moment) and really like it, unlike the other builds I've tried so far.
Minion Witch was annoying and weak until SRS, frost sorceress build was also slow, merc affliction build was defensive (als where the otheres too). With this build I'm not always walking backwards when enemies come but can set up my orbs and stay or even push against them.
Feals really strong so far!

Edit: And it also doesn't require that I always target correctly!

Glad to hear you are liking it. I'm thinking Heavy Frost would be worthwhile (20% increased freeze build up. Hits ignore elemental resistances of frozen enemies) and Thin Ice (20% Freeze, 50% increased damage with hits against frozen enemies) - both are very close on the tree to points you have allocated. Also Climate Change / Inescapable Cold.

I suspect there will be nerfs to Cast on Freeze soon, but I don't think it will break the interaction with Three Dragons.
