The scarcity of Greater and Perfect Jeweller's Orbs.

agreed with almost 500.000 kills with 100ish rarity in SSF and i had 0 perfects drop and over 120 lesser feels like a huge slap in the face.
Trying to have fun in SSF but forced to migrate to trade (oh wait i cant) feels so awful.
And seeing streamer x use perfect jeweller for their horrible build that died later that day feels even worse...
Level 88 here... not seen anything above a lesser jewllers orbs. Starting to question if they exist.
Reminds me of my old feedback from 2023, which is archived by now:

No need to read that, my tl/dr is: why remove skills from sockets, replacing a strong point of PoE (links, colors, probability of colors etc) with a bland (at that point unknown) socketing system?

I was mostly ridiculed, but I got a got response by suszterpatt regarding motivations:

"
Chris/Johnathan did explain this (I think during the day 2 Q&A), but here's the cliff notes.

- Currently, support gems give you massive damage boosts. Content is therefore balanced around the damage of 6L skills, but players only get 1-2 of those. This leads to the one-button gameplay of PoE1, which GGG are trying to get away from.

- Because people only have 1-2 main skills, active skills need to be able to do everything in order to be viable. If a skill can't clear packs AND do good single target damage, it will be displaced by players in favor of one that can do both. This limits GGG's options for skill design.

- Having to stop your progress through the campaign because you found a nice item with the wrong sockets on it is not fun, so people avoid doing it. We're all familiar with the trend of putting on a Tabula at level 1 and not taking it off until you're high enough level to equip your endgame chestpiece. Leveling loot becomes more impactful when there's no drawback to equipping a new item.

By now, none of that has been achieved:

6L is even rarer than it used to be in PoE 1 AND on top of that it's limited to one skill whereas in PoE 1 you could use any skill as long as you could match the colors.

The idea of using multiple skills with up to 5 supports works in theory, but in practice you can only use the same support gem once, severely limiting the potential of multi-button damage rotations.

Equipping a newly found item isn't that much likelier now for we still need to juggle stats and resists.

Oh and as of now I feel right about the new socketing system being bland. That's on a D2 level before LoD, pretty pointless and we can't even replace runes. If sockets were an affix, there would be kind of a tradeoff, but the current system doesn't accomplish anything imo.
It's true the drop rate is terrible, its not fun.
i agree on perfect ones, but greater tbh are very cheap (u can buy for 27 ex i think)
I don't mind the insanely low drop rate although I could see it would crush ssf. I'm level 90 and I've found 5 div mapping. Paying half of those divine for a perfect gem seems fair to me and makes you super stoked to finally do it. Gotta spend your loot on something... Might as well make it 6L's.

Just juice your maps/towers with exalts and tablets and the loot starts coming pretty regularly. It's awesome that they've reworked the exalt system to where you don't mind spending 3-4 to get your t15 maps set up well to synergize with your towers... And t16's trigger from vaal'sa fair ratio too.

I feel for you SSF players, but that's kind of what you signed up for, right?

Good for you. I just got my third character to maps and I only ever found one div and that was so early after release in act 2 normal that I had no idea how rare they would be, so I spent it on some item that I don't even remember.

Imho almost ALL "crafting" items are too rare to actually accomplish what they're supposed to do.
This problem still exist!

I feel like if i didnt trade for them...

Id have gone to endgame with twolinks.

Ive disocvered a whopping 2 lessers in both campaigns on dawn of the hunt into endgame.

Were they hidden in some pot i didnt smash?
A piece of rubble i couldnt interact with?!
I play 4 hours per day maps that are T15 and over for 4 months. I didn't found not a single perfect jewel orb! I found only 6 great jewel orbs.

Every levelling I've done so far is by paying with real money through trade site.

I spend so far 200€ for this game. I didn't spend the money for cosmetics. Only to buy Divines for trading good gear and weapons.

If people have option to buy with real money what they want, then the game is converted automatically to a " Pay to Win " game.

You pay for early access
You pay for cosmetics ( good gear look)
You pay for weapons and gear in trade site
You pay for currencies

What else?? Espresso?

This is my stat so far in DOTH. I play everyday, close to about 5-6 hours a day. I'm able to afford to do this since I don't have traditional / conventional job of 9-5 in office.

Imagine how scarce it is for people that have 9-5 in an office, and only able to play occasionally about 2-3 hours in weekdays, and maybe 5 hours in weekend.
