Well having both on the same server is definitely a stupid idea. I guess I personally don't see the challenge in the xp loss in the things that I have died to. maybe if it was some kind of capstone challenge losing xp would make it feel like it was a risk, but just dying on a map that is 2 levels under you because you just weren't paying enough attention or for the love of Christ a game crash taht freezes your screen while you can still hear yourself pushing buttons and you die. (This has happened to me more times than I can count now). I am just sick of it. I don't think you should lose XP unless you are specifically trying to do content that is suppose to be challenging, losing xp on silly things in regular grinds feels terrible and I just don't understand the challenge in it except "GET SWEATY AND PAY ATTENTION AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DIE EVER". That is not fun. That sucks for nearly everyone except people who ONLY play for challenges like that, which I imagine isn't nearly as many people as you think.
Again, losing xp to a big challenge where you are putting it on the line and know the risk, that does feel rewarding and good. Losing xp when you are just farming away for items or currency or just some higher tier maps that COULD be challenging and some random juiced up mob or weird effect or lag kills you.. not good. Just makes you want to uninstall. Basically, i just don't want to feel like every map I run is a challenge, sometimes I just want to zone out and grind. Последняя редакция: GDMuscles#1918. All the have to do to make it where you can't face tank is to make the exp T15 gives more, and T16 triple that while increasing the exp needed for lvl90-100 by whatever the margin of the boost for t15/16
Death wouldn't be a huge issue then as the XP is matching the pacing along with those more and would go more into the "fair" category. How it is currently, it's in the "spit in the players face" or "disrespectful to your time" category. Not a great recipe for having people have a positive affinity as this breed toxic mentality, because of the mental gymnastics the devs are putting you through to play a game. It's a game at the end of the day, chill out on this brutality. How about focus on your pacing of the game rather than some teenager fantasy of brutality. Act 2-3 and Cruelty mode are jokes and it makes the difference between them and Endgame even more extreme making it seem like they put little thought or effort into the actual game. Just a bunch of systems designs without the emotions of the player even being considered. |

" Man, wouldn't that be something. A video game where you feel like you have won. Who would want that? I just don't want to be playing every single map that I run in challenge mode because I know eventually my game is going to freak out or I'm going to flicker strike myself onto the bang bros casting couch and get stun locked in a t13 map and lose 10% exp on a map that wouldn't have even given me a single percent if I would have cleared it fully. *shrug* Maybe make the XP loss proportionally to the "challenge" you are referring to? There is no challenge assigned to XP loss other than working out how to not die, if getting to level 100 is your bag

You don't need level 100 for anything. Your last points are your worst points. You already got the most important stuff earlier, of course.
It's like complaining "I quit because I couldn't find 100% of the perfect gear in the world," okay mate sure. Maybe just take a break until next league or try a new character. Listen, you want to destroy the value of something you don't need because you're not able to easily get it. It doesn't make any sense. You refuse to admit human nature. There's a reason "level 100" is in the same challenge bracket as "run labyrinth 100 times" in PoE1, it's a top tier endgame goal not a right of passage
