Why dedicate my time if I can lose all my XP with a death penalty?

Why are you not playing hardcore? Im confused because everything you just mentioned is hardcore. Not softcore.

I want portal straight like a fool and die to reknar, shit was awesome.

There is absolutely zero of what I said that remotely relates to hardcore. Hardcore is one death = lose all. Softcore is not one death = lose nothing. You just want easyzoomzoomcore instead. A game that does not challenge you at all is not a game my friend. Go play D4 to grind for hours for nothing.
Guys guys, calm down.
Death penalty is an outdated mechanic that exists only "because Diablo 2 had it".
Think of all those "omen of not losing exp" sellers!

Nah, I'll be here complaining on the forums in order to shape this into a fun game. Until the devs openly announce exactly what it is they want to do with the direction of the game then anything can change during EA. This is the best time for feedback, and we'll either have a fun game or a dead game.

if this was true, poe1 would have been dead on arrival 10 years ago. it wasnt. so repeating the same wrong statement over and over again doesnt make it true and the future of poe2 isnt dependent on you liking it or not.

atm the game is too punishing overall. there are unclear und unfair deaths sometimes and 1 portal is bad for learning things. on top it feels bad if you lose maps and content. so there are various things that contribute to the punishment. xp loss itself isnt the problem. the problem is, sometimes dying isnt players fault.
if players are getting the tools to learn things, and unfair deaths arent a thing anymore, than its a different thing. im fine with the consequences of my mistakes, but not with consequence of games mistakes.

Maybe nobody told you, but having 10-20K REAL players (as in not bots) every league is a dead game...

FYI on that.

Why do you think they created POE 2? I mean... it's basically just POE 1 with better graphics at this point.
