They are required to inform users individually indeed, and there's no way to know if they self reported. The best thing to do is simply file a complaint with your local supervisory agency, and explain the situation and the impact.

Telling us they are reaching out to the compromised accounts and/or which accounts (steam vs poe since this wasn't even clear in the announcement) is too much to ask apparently. Now everyone gets to sit in suspense wondering if their account was part of the breach.

As these Data that was leaked is classified under GDPR in Europe i would really like to know what you will do now immediately to inform the affected users?
I want to know if I am affected and I also want to know when we will be protected by 2FA. If Login IDs were leaked this means potentially more Brute force attacks will come to our unprotected accounts from your standalone loader or websites.

I reported my account being compromised on 13th Dec 2024, the support@grindinggear.com group/team started the account recovery process on 28th Dec 2024. (I have not heard a single response after)

It is now 16th Jan 2025, my main account is still locked.

Devasting.

Too bad this scum is allowed to exist, I wish digital crimes would be taken more seriously like physical ones. This includes RMT, cause all those pathetic degens who pay scammers for loot is what enabling all the garbage in games in the first place.

What I'd like to know is why 2FA authentication is still not available in 2025... This option should be a bare minimum on any personal data storage for users/players.
