i dont know the exact patch, but back then rarity effect on currency was removed in poe1 because of the same issues. it only affects the rarity of gear, rares, uniques, div cards, but no currency.

and for the values, i doubt they ever published any exact numbers, but there were enough tests and numbers over the years figured out by the players.

i think there is a clear split up for some years already. some things are implemented exactly the way it was in poe1 years ago befor changes.

yes maybe some guys will figure it out. there are often community tests about drop rates in poe1, i bet they will be in poe2. but waystone is kinda hard to tell, there are so many modifiers influencing them dropping.

Frankly, I didn't know. Because what I understood from what was written there was that if the chance is 100%, I will get at least 1 Waystone. I read it as if there will definitely be 1 Waystone.

These calculations, these numbers, these figures that GGG made started to seem quite ridiculous after reading what you wrote.

My build wasn't very strong because I made my Rarity chance 90% to drop more valuable items. That's probably why I'm still doing 7+ quests. Even though Rarity is 90%, there still aren't enough valuable items dropping.

That's probably why I can't finish Juiced Map or I'm doing it too hard.

My Atlas points are related to Quality Quantity and High Tier Map drop chance.

I have to figure out where I'm going wrong.

its the same math thats in place for everything in poe. there is a base value and there are some multipliers. we dont know the base values, but they are very very low. and there are increases that seem powerful, but arent.



This means we are gambling with unknown odds.

You class should be able to clear everything without sweat. You need to be able to click one button and wipe the whole screen.

At the same time:

You should almost never die in maps. Yes, one-shots exist. But beside the random death every 15 maps or so, you should be able to finish everything.

If you die often or your DPS does not clear the whole screen - you need to fix that first, before rarity or any other stuff.

I think there is a vicious circle here.
I hear from streamers that the builds you mentioned cost 500 divine. This may be a bit of an exaggeration or it may be true.

Imagine I opened a new character, how do I do that build. I could only drop 1 divine with the build I am currently playing.

You say that I should do a one-shot build before the rarity chance, it seems right. You need a divine to do this. Divine does not drop. Even Exalted drops with difficulty. I think there is a bug in the rarity chance section.

Even Perfect Jewel did not drop 1 and when I checked yesterday it was listed as 270 Exalted.

I thought I needed to increase my rarity chance to drop these.

I think my only chance is to craft certain white items and try to get items that will give 1-2 divines. You need 3-4 exalteds for each. If you are lucky, it will give 1-2 divines. Or you need to get Essence for 15-20 exalteds. If I'm very lucky, I can craft an item that gives 10-20 divine on 30 Exalted.
