Path of Exile 2 - Patch 0.1.1 Patch Note Preview
For those with PC crashes to desktop, this can be related to DirectX 12 API. Switch to Vulkan API (Options -> Graphics).

Its not related to that. I have played with both and still pc crashes while going in to any new instances, hideout etc.
Its a CPU issue and when game loading you from A to B the CPU usage skyrockets to 100% for a few sec. and thats whats make the game freeze/pc crash, and you have to take a hard reset. There are lots of topics around this problem and ppl have tried all the tricks to come around it without any luck. So GGG has some work to to and FIX it ASAP! The playerbase are decreasing atm. due to this. |

I can not stand it when they push an update out and then go home for the weekend. Inb4 ANOTHER week of worthless patches.

" And there we have the "Child" that pulls the EA Card because the EA card is an Excuse for everything |
|
" Yes, it is, because the game is in early access, meaning it is in a state between beta and alpha. We are currently testing the game in its half-baked form, in a sense we are contributing to the development stages of the game. To me, early access means an interactive development process. The kitchen is in the middle, we all see the food being cooked, and we can even decide on the spice. What's so bad about this? Последняя редакция: Woneerfyalp#7401. Время: 20 янв. 2025 г., 2:36:42

An update on my crashing to desktop/hard reset required experience (or now lack thereof)
I've come to find that on my dual monitor setup, if I have: A.) Confine mouse to window turned off, it might crash. In the least, it'll be annoying when I'm clicking to attack on the wrong monitor. Of course, playing in full screen, and not full screen windowed would do this much better. It is possible that this may be a false error as I was having B.) going as well. B.) If I have a web browser up (in my case, Edge). I haven't been able to narrow it down to just having a browser up at all, or if there's a certain page or type of page that causes the crash. Typically, I'd have the path of exile website trade up, and/or mobilytics up, as well as YouTube. Solution has been to close the web browser, confine mouse to game window, and have PoeUncrasher going (yes, it still stops responding during zoning, but PoeUncrasher helps get around that and keeps the game running). With this, I've been able to play for hours. Oh, and I did test the Nvidia DLSS part of it, and aside from some improved graphics speed, there seems to be no difference. Also running in DX12. The crashes I get with the web browser up are typically accompanied by a dialogue box to quit or continue. Choosing quit closes out the game, and in some cases, freezes the web browser as well. This will require a hard reset. With a single monitor build, you may not see this dialogue before you just hard reset. There's some text to go with it, but the system gets insanely bogged down that the mouse hardly moves, so I haven't been able to read the text yet. Additionally, I'm running 23H2 with 24H2 delayed as long as I can. I know there's a ton of variables that can contribute to this crash on many different systems. Hopefully, this helps someone. " You testing something? Hahahaha. 99% players just copy builds from streamers and report 0 bugs/problems XD "PoE is hard and full of complexity ... so PoE players are true skillers." But they just need play build from someone else and tons of macros + trade to buy everything :D Just same lies and shts like from this devs :D |
|
" Or....ORRRR....some people start with a streamer build and tinker with it. Like the guy with the old ford mustang he's restoring. He didn't build the car and the parts. He just adjusts and adds/removes different parts to tweak the results. No sense pooping on those who climb onto shoulders. Those streamers are revealing their builds for just those people. I'm sure the streamers have no regrets with their builds being used. |

" You misunderstand, I'm not saying that you shouldn't address or bring forth problems with the game during early access. I'm saying that writing "FIX X FFS" in a forum post explaining upcoming changes to the game does not explain what you want changed, it does not explain how to fix it, it doesn't say anything at all. It just leaves a bad taste... If you actually want to provide feedback, do so, in another forum post, where you explain it in detail. |
