Dear GGG: PLS Consider SSF LOOT BUFF To Compensate TRADING...Details Below :)
" its way higher if poe1 is anything to go by, which its safe to presume it is considering we got even more noobs in the game now and its mostly the die hard vets who trade. this is from the dev manifesto " so the majority of players never trade. of the minority who do trade the majority of them only trade a couple of times, they dont really get any trade advantage at all. so the people who actually trade a lot and get significant power from it are a minority of a minority. like theyre saying, that hardcore 10% of players who play for 1000s and 1000s of hours and probably spend tons of $$$, post in the forums a lot, watch streams etc represent a disproportionately large amount of traders. the trade community is fundamental to the player base, theyre very important. but the devs have the data and from what they have told us the vast majority of people who play poe are not really trading. ssf league has a low player count from what i gather, so the majority dont trade and the majority that dont trade are in the normal league. they just dont trade. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

At this point a significant boost to SSF and other changes to death penalties are the only things that will make me come back. I shouldn't be forced to trade with other players to progress my character in a freaking ARPG. The drop rates are clearly balanced around trade and they suck. The loot in general sucks.

" I know, they don't trade, they quit. what do you think they do linger in poverty begging in chat for donations? Ya people like trade league, go at it. Its called easy mode, and its easier. Then there is SSF where the game is balanced for a player who , uses crafting, spends all their orbs on crafting, and gets their loot from drops. Except it isn't ............ Right now i have -1% chaos resist. I dunno 10% fire resists. Nothing is maxed out, cause i can't. There is nothing for me to craft to get where i need to be. I can't fix anything. I have perhaps 10 tries to make something from white to rare using all of the orb combinations in my bag i doubt ill hit what i need. I WON'T use the trade site. So to be blunt unless i get something of value to bring any enjoyment to this game. Im out. Im not going to do the shitty trials again .. Im not going to spend hundreds of hours reading crap loot descriptions. Im not going to play virtual dumpster diver , grabbing empty beer cans from the trash to bring to the recycling plant so i can get some money to buy a sword. I would play PoE2 except its balanced to buy to win. drops are balanced around buy to win . Game scaling assumes buy to win, where we all should buy the top 2% of gear. Its actually quite bad for an arpg, not sure what game model they are trying for tbh, a mobile ish thing ? Последняя редакция: Jitter912#4278. Время: 19 янв. 2025 г., 12:12:58

" Yep, kind of agree. I wonder what would happen if other games try to use the same rhetoric as POE with respect to Trade/RMT. e.g.: Do you imagine what would happen if such thing would be even suggested for Monster Hunter? |

Outside of a handful unique items, drops wont ever matter in this game.
Period, full stop, end of sentence. There are multiple reasons why thats the case and at least some of those wont ever change. Lets just assume you were playing an evasion based bow ranger. Ok cool. 1. That means all drops that arent either evasion based or bows are not interesting by default and thats already ruling out some 90% of the drops - unless you are trading or planning to play another build down the road that might need that gear. 2. Once expert tier items can drop, none the items that arent expert are interesting anymore. Ok, now 95% of the drops are irrelevant. 3. There usually only about 3 base items that are good enough to justify picking it up, doesnt matter which type of gear you are looking for with exeption of jewelry at which point about 99% of the drops are irrelevant. 4. There are way too many (trash) mods and way too many (trash) tiers. 5. The odds of getting anything with 3-4 synergizing well rolled mods on a base you care about are at this point abysmal, close to non-existing. It can still happen tho. Its pretty much the exact same system we had in PoE1 with 2 major differences: 1. We could reroll the same item forever and bruteforce our way to victory but in PoE2 items tend to end up bricked within the inital 2-3 crafting steps. Which means you need an infinite supply of bases to repeat the exat same steps, hoping to not brick the item along the way and you wont get that many bases. 2. Lack of tools to manipulate items and iterate on them. The result is that both, drops and crafting, are very much luckluster to put it mildly. There are ways to improve both for sure BUT that begs the question why does the item generation work the way it does currently work, which is the same as in PoE1? Id guess GGG fully intends to allow us bruteforcing items in a similar fashion as PoE1 does but wants to withhold those tools for now and introduce them later as league content while also giving as a reason to farm specific things. If thats not the intention, then GGG will have to rework item generation from the ground up and I dont think they will cuz then they would eliminate the option to give us tools and create leagues around that. Why would they do that? Makes no sense to me. Bottom line imho is this: 1. Crafting will remain in a pretty bad state until they give the tools needed and who knows when thats gonna be. 2. Drops will never matter outside of providing crafting bases and the occasional 1 in a million super lucky drop but thats about it. Drops cant ever be good cuz if they were GGG wouldnt be able to introduce crafting tools, create leagues around that and have us farm for things endlessly. Again, why would they do that? |

" Just my 2 cents -- this makes your argument/posts even weaker. Just remove it from your posts. (Full stop -- period --- ya bro -- lol) Lol. " You still play that Dead game..? --- TLDR: My interpretation of your post: You don't believe it will be done -- thank you! My response of above: Then GL to GGG, i.e. same Fate as PoE1.
