Auction House when?

The current trade system is archaic because they aren't thinking outside of the box enough.

Here is the question they need help with:

How do they develop an in-game AH that also maintains and/or boost MTX?

-Make the AH a place/area in the game. Doesn't matter what exactly, but it must be a centralized location, a hub if you will. It will essentially just be a big town with lots of players running around in it. Players must go here to actually access and shop the AH. This makes players see tons of other players, and they can see all the MTX stuff other players have purchased and are showing off.

-Purchases must be picked up at the sellers' hideout. This makes buyers travel there to see the other players' hideout. Players' get to show off all those MTX hideout purchases. This would work even better if a players hideout is available while they're offline. The idea is the seller doesn't have to be there to physically give the buyer the item. Buyer comes in and gets the purchase out of a special chest or whatever.

-There are other ways to incorporate these ideas. Maybe the AH hubs can be in players' hideouts. Maybe additional MTX items are needed to participate in the AH. You need the AH access point and you need the AH 'buyer pickup chest,' which must be purchase via MTX. Maybe, in a hideout, there is a limit to how many players can access a purchase point simultaneously, so players buy more access/pickup points to bring more people to their hideout/hub, and having more traffic in your hideout/trade hub nets you some other in game bonus.

These aren't magic bullets, but they're ideas to work with. The MTX hurdle is the main thing blocking the in-game AH. The trade site and back alley drug dealing system currently in place still has all the negatives of an AH with none of the positives.

How right you are about the archaic trading; but sure what MTX has to do with the current trading model or holding back the implementation of an in-game trading mechanism. However the notion of paying for a MTX of some sort for access to an in-game trading system is not a bad idea. We pays for a spot at a car-boot sale or street market, why not here?
Half of me wants auction house because it saves me time, but other half worries that friction in trade is what is keeping PoE leagues alive. Too much convenience can also be detrimental to players emotions towards the game or allow botting to get out of control.

I feel like everyone should trade less and understand that there is no reason to rush into gear that can do T15s

It already exists in the console version of PoE1 and for non-Western releases for PoE1. (The latter because PoE1 had to include that as well as other QoL features to be competitive in those markets.)

It can be accessed in those versions from Town, menu or clicking a Bulletin Board, or in one's Hideout.

They have already created an entire in-game Auction House system for PoE1 console and PC and it has been working for years.

They won't implement it for Western distros of PoE1 or PoE2 because they are clinging to improperly reasoned game-economy values that prioritize 'inconvenience' as a 'game mechanic.'

But Non-Western releases are very likely going to get one because players there won't stand for those sorts of shenanigans....

A little planning, some trade restrictions, some dynamic controls... and we could have a great value-added game feature for EVERYONE.

But, 'No,' Western players must suffer because... <handwaves> 'reasons.'
True, with some planning and thought they can replicate the trade site in-game.

How about... not only now, but a great big bellowing HELL to the F NO.

Why?

Because of MTXs like those annoying jaz monkeys or whatever the F they are. No way I want to hear that x 1000, or any other loud as F MTX.

If they want to do that, fine, but put a 'mute marketplace' in options.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
well developed AH would prevent bots and scammers in same time. wake up from delusion

we must have instant trade.

we must have in game trade, which is... game right? why we trade via website? living in stone age?

why we have to use 3. party apps, if i was in charge for GGG, i would be so offenden if players is using 3. party apps to not only QOL, also its kinda must...
