Haha, doubling down on this atlas? Really? How can you not see this should be scrapped asap? This is the worst system somene can possibly creat. The friction and the randomness you introduced is absolutely horrendous, i hope people like wuin, who still think this is just a place-holder of an end game now see this is the horrible base you are vreating

The tower system is horrible. Once you do a few hundred maps, it starts having issues rendering new areas, or loading the fog of war properly. Navigation through it once you go 4-5 screens in all directions is the most piss poor experience in my life, trying to go to the next location you prepared when there are 6-7 points of interest spread in all corners.

In Path of Exile 2's 0.2.0 update, we're making it so that Towers can spawn with mechanics
ok i do not get it. Why we spending time on towers, why we need mechanics on them when they are narrow and not cool to play, why we need to kill rare monsters now to finish it. it is just waste of time. in my opinion if you want to keep towers as soon you are next to them on atlas ( so you completed map just next to tower ) they should be active without playing them. this would mean i can put tablet on and move with my maps. i just dont get it why we will be wasting time. i already think killing rares is not correct way to finish map unless map design will change to similar poe1 have and i do not need to go back to beginning as i miss 1 corner with yellow mob. if we need checkpoints on maps this means map is design wrongly. | |
The towers are a great idea on paper, but a horrible experience in-game.
Pathing dozens upon dozens of maps to go around a lake to reach a citadel, only to find that it's not accessible from that side might be fixable in the future. Not being able to play the content you want might also be fixable in the future, or it's a matter of getting used to it. Having to search for and set up an area with juice by having to set up all towers around feels so, so cumbersome, but maybe it's just preference and people might juice in various degrees. But spotting a really nice tower-dense area in the fog, pathing 40 maps to get there, only to end up with a huge body of water in the middle, rendering the whole area useless has to be one of the worst feelings about this atlas and it doesn't seem fixable, unless water is removed altogether. so far it looks like a fix not a change for the towers .
Nothing new yet other than those 2 items and 3 gems. |

Meh.
Non of the support gems seem at all interesting. They are all highly situational. I had 3 characters in end game and I would not use these new ones in any of the builds. Where is the power?! If we only have utility/situational choices for the support gems there is no reason to feel good about unlocking that additional slot. I mean why even bother if it's not going to help you clear or kill a boss. Imo you are to scared to give the players power in this game. it feels like any benifit HAS to come with a serious downside. Or its just a filler that no one uses. Or its mechanically so clunky that it feels really bad to use. What people want is having to make a choice between several amazing things, and be like: Man, I wish I could pick more! (FOMO) Right now it's: Meh, non are interesting so i'll just slap something on that might be a situational benefit when all the stars align. /shrug. (indifference) I'll just play PoE1 thanks. |

OMG, they are falling into abyss with towers.
Layouts and mechanics are trash and now they are putting league mechanics into this... Nice expedition or breach in the corner or on the narrow bridge. More annoying for 90% of the players than enjoying that thing. |

Clear Requirement for Towers?
This is unplayable unless it will be redesigned to remove backtracking entirely. Will the tablets have boosted affected map count in case it can be wasted to boost tower? |
