This was a RACE EVENT, not a " Come get your free mtx" participation event. And it was marketed as such, so if you feel like you were entitled to being given something just for joining in, that's not on GGG, that's on you for misunderstanding the event or wanting it to be something else. Racing events are for people to prove whose the best, not for people to just show up and hold out their hand for free shit. We don't need that mentality here.

When I join a running race, I usually get a t shirt (if it is a 10k or lower) or a fun medal for half marathons or above. Why? To show people that you were there, and to have a reason to try. I knew I would never be the number 1, so I did not even try to participate. How many others are like me? Where if they put in a basic MTX for participating a lot more people would have joined in. Because then it would not have felt like you were wasting a few hours trying to complete the event.
