Attempting to log in after 0.1.1f detects me running cheating software (I'm not)

Likewise, although on Debian, nothing fancy in my launch options:

The empty LD_PRELOAD is to circumvent an issue with the steam overlay libraries that are otherwise injected, even if the overlay is disabled.
I was running the game with Proton Experimental when the issue occurred.

Same symptom, Gentoo Linux, and I've never done anything to my PoE2 installation but drop in an item filter file. The warning appeared right after I'd installed the update and launched with GloriousEggroll's GE-Proton9-25.

Same here as well, I'm running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with steam/proton. Dissum bull

same boat running nothing but sidekick skype and discord .. since day one when game early access started ,, and now i get that message ?? dafuk is going on ?

Is it safe to login or will I get banned?

Same here, Ubuntu Linux Steam client direct install, nothing else. The detection method is incorrect or flawed

I was also able to log in after clicking okay and tentatively trying again afterwards.

This scared the crap out of me. My first thought is that it was my complicated OBS + MangoHud launch options tripping the cheat detection:

But it sounds that this is likely Linux/Proton tripping it. Using Steam with Proton 9.0-4 on Nobara 40.
