Attempting to log in after 0.1.1f detects me running cheating software (I'm not)
" GGG have chosen to limit ultrawide support due to the competitive advantage seeing more of the game at once gives. In extreme cases it could go beyond that into being able to see beyond the distance from the player that monsters were active (this is constrained because sleeping most of the map is an instance server and network bandwidth resource saving function). Before they enforced a limit in the client there were people running in non-fullscreen windows at something like 4 or 5 to 1 in races and the POE1 labyrinth which has (had?) a daily prize for the fastest completion. Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |

Same here i got the cheating message after the update on Steamdeck. I'm not using any cheating software.

The "We can see more than other people" argument for ultra-wide is such bullshit! This is not a competitive game at all - i just want to hack and slay monsters and use my monitor in fullscreen.
When you removed support for ultra-wide you said with POE2 it will come back. Again another lie. This is just total bullshit! |

Ok, so ultrawide support is apparently a hack, but that's NOT the message you are sending to people. It's this. Where in this does it say anything about ultrawide support.
I bought a 49" monitor because I have a giant Geforce 4090 and I want to play with MAX settings. If the account gets banned for using a resolution you can't keep up with in 2025, no worries, I will go spend my money back with Blizzard and play Diablo again. I didn't play POE 1, I came here at the recommendation of people who said "You will like this more" and to be honest, the increased difficulty, I do like more. But this is 2025, I've bought multiple rounds of inventory packs and other things, so at least a few hundred dollars and put in nearly 1,000 hours so far. If that kind of player isn't needed or wanted, I completely understand if that is your business model. https://pasteboard.co/QjyvVdtEZQDq.png Последняя редакция: jhughes2466#3550. What if you just playing the game with your gf on ultrawide.
Why makes it really hard to make this a rule only for competitive play. Then why the 21:9 is enabled? isnt it wide? Lets go back 4:3 and any of us will have the same ratio. Anyway in case something is enforced than it could be better to clearly communicate it and those people who are just using Linux, etc are getting the same non-informative message than anyone else. At the end of the day there there are other games on the market that will attract more and more players if they are able to use their equipment to play freely. " |

They're clearly flagging the ultrawide fix as cheating software, which is a shame. Imagine developing a game in 2025 without support for ultrawide displays—especially when it’s not even an FPS game. I just don't want to see black bars on the sides of my screen. This really sucks.
