" So, ever heard the term “early access” ! |

Revive poe 1, add content, game been dead for 1 year now.
People paid for poe 2 and we got a poe 1 assassination instead and a slow wannabe PoE 1 reskin. |

If you have ever played Dnd where the DM is just actively trying to kill the characters to make themselves feel better or powerful whatever?
That is what POE 2 feels like right now.... |

I really liked early .1 but 0.2 ...
This is likely the worst experience iv had in coop in a game, and this isnt counting all the early crashes. Complete lack of damage, getting one to two shotted and then having to wait a minute for my huntress friend to be able to do a revive. And don't even get started on bosses ... even with +2 minion level and +90 % minion hp they die like flies, and then i'm stuck running around in a circle with a weak dot. Ontop of just flat out getting one - two shotted by the bosses. Not helped by the insanely long stun/freezes. Then resulting me me going afk for 10 minutes while my buddy sloooowly chips away at the boss health. (reviving mid fight with only 2 players is basically undoable) Geonor took five tries for a huntress and witch at +2 levels above him ... From a player with thousands of hours in POE1 and then we both have 150H in POE2. Please rethink your BDSM fantasies before the next league, as that will be what decides if we keep coming back or not. If this is not just something that's bugged .. And for everyones pleasure, heres a video to enjoy some Very Ethical Huntress Zdps from when i went of to take a shit after dying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YA6ed29P-U |

I don't get the hate.
GGG advertised it wanted more gameplay with combos and positioning. If you gonna oneshot all ennemies with AoE before they even can touch you, how is this gonna work? You can buy loot on the player market and run over the content. It's the "skip grind" mode. What remains then is a walk simulator with random drops dopamine. Copy/pasting meta builds. Can we differentiate from that mobile game gameplay loop? I think is the the bet of GGG. Maybe they can do a "non ruthless" mode for your kind of gamers. But I don't know how they can balance it as first class citizen. |

This is just not fun to play.
Even with skills doing more damage the game feels terrible when everything is rushing at you, pushing you around, dropping ground effects on top of you. For me the issue is not more challenging mobs or slower player actions but the speed and behaviour of monsters. It feels frustrating even when you're clearing everything. The balance between difficulty and rewarding is just not there.
I really liked POE but POE2 0.2 ... The game feels punishing. Not fun at all. |

At this point I think it’s obvious that GGG didn’t really think through the whole idea of applying Soulslike game mechanics in PoE:
In Souls games, slow/methodical combat and enemies that feel punishing work because combat is generally 1v1 or 1v2 - more than that and you made a mistake, and you’re probably gonna die. You learn to move through levels in a way that doesn’t aggro enemies unless you want to. You’re not on a loot hunt, you’re trying to survive a hostile environment. In PoE, dozens of enemies mob you all at once. There is nothing in any zone that requires you to move through the area differently (like an archer on a terrace, or a dragon strafing a bridge). And none of the enemies have behaviors that differ in any meaningful way - they just rush and attack. You’re not intended to avoid or overcome anything - you’re intended to kill everything before it kills you, in hopes of loot. Logic says that if the game has a one-dimensional challenge - enemies that mob and attack relentlessly - then you would want to respond with immediate resistance. Instead we have pointless combos that don’t feel good, slow attacks in the face of fast monsters, and a dodge roll that was pulled from a completely different type of game. |
